I cannot say enough nice things about Brian! He was absolutely AMAZING to work with and I cannot imagine having a different photographer! He went above and beyond all expectations and made us feel truly important for our special day. He had fantastic ideas and I absolutely loved his style of including the "real stuff" because it made our photos (so far) SO much better than the typical awkward, fake-smile photos! They are fun, beautiful, and actually capture our personalities, love, and the best moments of our day! He had his work cut our for him with us because it was raining and windy on our day, and yet he took photos people can't even believe are real! Good, great, grand, wonderful! Brian Kinyon Photography is the way to go! BKP was one of the first wedding vendors we signed after getting engaged in November 2014 (I believe we signed our contract with him in the spring of 2015). He did our engagement photos in June 2015 and then shot our wedding in June 2016.

There are three things you should know about BK. First, he's an artist who has graced the wedding photography world with his talent. His pictures showcase intimacy and the beauty of human interaction. He certainly knows how to capture emotions and takes a lot of candid or "in-the-moment" shots. We have received multiple compliments from our friends and family about our photos, and we're certainly over-the-moon excited about them. Second, he's a pleasure to be around! He is very kind and has a calming sense about him, which really helped put us at ease when we were taking our engagement shots (something my husband and I were nervous about given that we've never had our photos taken professionally). Third, he keeps you organized on your wedding day! Brian made a point to get to know the shots we wanted ahead of time. He helped me finalize the schedule and then kept us on time as we traveled from River North to the Loop to Museum Campus to Bridgeport, taking all sorts of neat pictures along the way. If you want photos you will cherish for a lifetime, go with Brian Kinyon.

Brian was great to work with- very laid back yet professional and responsive. He took our engagement photos which we loved. He was not available for our 9/5/15 wedding, but his associate Todd Judge was. Todd and an assistant photographer did an amazing job on our wedding day. They seemed tireless and worked to capture every moment! Our wedding was outside on Lake Michigan, so lighting was not ideal by any means- but they captured the fire works, our guests, and moments inside the boat perfectly! Extremely happy with what we got for what we paid. Received all high resolution and low res photos at 6 weeks post-wedding as promised. Definitely recommend!

We used Brian Kinyon Photography for our engagement and wedding photos and could not be happier! A friend referred us to Brian & he was so nice and easy to work with.
For our engagement photos, he helped us pick out location in the city and was fine with including our pup too!
When we met with Brian in October, he was already booked for our wedding date but his associate photographer Tony Favarula was available. We were equally impressed with Tony. He remained calm and moved quickly to get all the shots we wanted. Tony even stood in the middle of a busy street for us to get one of our shots!
We were very happy with how our engagement photos turned out and our very excited to see the final product of the wedding photos.
Both Brian & Tony were very easy to communicate with before the days and very organized in planning on how to get certain shots (such as 50 plus family shot etc).

Brian is a wonderful photographer. He took both engagement and wedding pictures for our May 2015 wedding at the Chicago Botanic Gardens. The pictures are absolutely beautiful. He did such a great job of capturing so many moments throughout the day. Such a great way for us to remember such an important day. He is also an absolute pleasure to work with. His calm personality was much appreciated on such a hectic day.

First off- I shopped around. Photography is SO expensive yet SO important for the big day! I really wanted to work with a company that could offer me:
1. A comprehensive package
2. Flexibility
3. Affordability (I'm not a Kennedy, I'm a normal gal)
4. Experience and ideas
We got that and much more with Brian!

I shopped around and called MANY photographers and always had sticker shock. Plus lots of photographers are a'la carte. Not with Brian! Our package was much more affordable than what we found elsewhere plus it included a 1 hour engagement photo session, wedding day coverage for 9 hours (plus the FLEXIBILITY to add hours as the night went on- which we did!). We also get a DVD of all of our pictures (copyright free so we can share on Facebook or email to family, etc), an online gallery, and a coffee table photo album! That's a LOT! :)

And Brian is cool! I know this sounds silly, but he is. I didn't want a wedding photographer who has been at it for 40 years and has old ideas. I wanted someone closer in age to my husband and I. I wanted someone more on our page, who would "get us." Brian was definitely fun to work with. He had lots of great ideas for both our engagement pictures (which were SO FUN! Seriously, it was the BEST part of wedding planning!!), and on our wedding day. He actually got in his car and scouted out photo locations for us which I thought was awesome. He also kept the day on schedule for us, making sure we were squeezing every photo stop that was important to my hubby and I.

Brian's style is very photojournalistic and we LOVE LOVE LOVE all of our photos- both engagement & wedding. We LOVED working with Brian and can't say enough good things about him!!! Do yourself a favor and book with Brian Kinyon! You will not be sorry!

I really can not say enough positive things about Brian. We just got our wedding photos back and I am very pleased with them! We did our engagement photos with Brian, and he also was at our rehearsal dinner and wedding for photos. And I am now looking for an excuse to work with him again.
Brian did a really good job of listening to what we knew we wanted and offering suggestions of things he knows have work really well in the past. He did an awesome job of directing our incredibly large families and bridal party to get some really fantastic shots.
I really felt comfortable around Brian which I feel shows in our pictures. He was super flexible and an absolute pleasure to work with. I would (and have) recommended him to several of my engaged friends.
