Best part of our wedding.

The best thing about this vendor is the quality of the video. It was well shot and generally well edited. I would say that the key moments were captured successfully and the video we got was as described.

The biggest drawback of this vendor was a lack of professionalism characterized by a classic bait and switch tactic. When interviewing this vendor in advance, they were quick to show off their high tech Mac-based editing equipment as one of their major assets. However, _after_ our wedding, the vendor revealed to us that they would be using their older editing equipment unless we paid extra for them to use the newer Mac equipment. The rationale for this extra charge was that the old equipment is harder and slower to use, and thus our video would be of poorer quality, even though the vendor preferred to use the newer Mac.

It also took about six weeks to get our video, which felt a little long. The packaging of the DVD was also not very attractive, although that may have been par for the course in 2004.

I could not be more disappointed and upset with our choice to go with Boston Bride for our wedding photographers. Throughout the course of working with them, they were very unresponsive to our phone calls and simple requests. It seemed like the only time they tried to get in contact with us was when they were trying to collect money. They constantly tried to sell us on more shoddy, unprofessional work they were pedaling.

We had a few hour gap between the ceremony and the reception, so we needed them for a longer time than normal. The trouble is, they charge $195 per half hour of overtime beyond the 5 or 6 hours in the contract. I was aware of this, but they purposely tried to stay as late as possible even when I asked them to leave. My friend used them as well, and did not know that they were charging overtime and they kept coming up with excuses to stay late, only to slap an extra $400 to their bill. When I approached Jack, he made every attempt to try to stay later to get his greedy little hands on more of our money.

After the wedding, it took them months to get us our pictures, and we had to fight with them for everything. From start to finish, their main focus was to get our money. The pictures came out great, the video was average at best (very dark lighting, and not a sharp picture). For all the aggrevation and frustration that we went through, we could've had better quality and more professional service elsewhere.

Avoid these people at all costs. We wished we had!!
