I'm so glad that we decided to go with the Brown Ballroom in the Bone Student Center. We worked with Mollie who was absolutely amazing to work with. She was prompt anytime we had a question; which we had a lot of questions.

It was a relief to have the venue all figured out and know there wouldn't be any issues the day of.

I can't say enough wonderful things about the service we received from ISU Bone Student Center for our venue and catering. It was by far one of the most accommodating, flexible, and budget friendly options in the Bloomington/Normal area. The staff was professional and quick to respond to any question or concern I had. They showed a genuine interest in making sure our wedding day was everything we dreamed of, and they took a lot of stress off our load by being on top of our planning needs! We received so many compliments from our guests on the food and decor. I highly recommend talking to ISU for your reception and catering needs!

My husband and I have nothing by wonderful things to say about the staff and facility at the Bone Student Center! The team we worked with to plan our wedding reception was very nice, professional, and went above and beyond for us. We used the Brown Ballroom and they transformed it into our dream reception! The room looked absolutely beautiful! If you are looking for a banquet hall that you can personalize and transform the space, this is the venue for you!!

Sarah was fantastic and helpful from the very beginning. Anytime I would call or email her, she would have a response to me the same day! She definitely made planning my reception so easy!

The Bone Student Center was the perfect location for our cocktail hour and wedding reception! Not only were the event coordinators a dream to work with while planning the reception, but they also stayed for as long as we needed them on the day of the event to make sure that everything ran smoothly. Sarah does an amazing job of providing information on the event space and decor in advance of the day and gave us some great ideas for the layout of room. The food at Bone Student Center is also amazing! We had a ton of guests compliment the lasagna that we served as a main dish. The catering department did a great job helping us pick out our menu. Our guests consistently have said our wedding is thee most fun wedding they have ever been to, and I can't thank BSC enough for helping to contribute to that!

Everything went perfect! From planning, returning phone calls, making centerpieces, to catering, it was all AMAZING! I would suggest using ISU Bone Student Center to absolutely anybody.

We had our wedding reception in the Prairie Room in the Bone Student Center. Jenna was great to work with - very enthusiastic and supportive as the big day came closer and the wedding stress started to build up. She quickly answered all my questions and the whole staff was a great assistance in setting up for the wedding the day before. We had less guests RSVP than we had anticipated, and she was able to adjust the layout so it didn't look too sparse. ISU is definitely one of the most affordable venues in the area, but if you have your reception in the summer and you're the only event taking place that day, you do have to pay an additional fee. Chairs and tables are free, but any additional optional equipment has a fee, such as the dance floor, projectors, uplighting, etc. You are also required to use ISU catering, but they were great to work with too (and again, one of the most affordable options in the area). If you spend a certain amount on catering, the room rate is decreased quite a bit too. Overall, we were pleased with our experience and highly recommend ISU for budget-conscious couples!

The Brown Ballroom ended up turning out being a beautiful location for our reception. We received many compliments about the look of the room as well as the food and service!
