We feel terrible that it's taken us so long to give this review, but post wedding life has been busier than we could have imagined.

I'd like to start off by saying how incredibly lucky we were to come across Blue Velvet Images. We had been planning our Michigan wedding from Seattle, which had made it nearly impossible to meet with any Michigan based photographers. We were referred to Sandra (owner and lead photographer) by a friend and she was happy to work around our travel schedule. When we first met with her, she was very professional and friendly. Blue Velvet's portfolio is full of beautiful photographs. We were immediately impressed and eager to work with Sandra.

Sandra took the time in the days prior to the wedding to drive around the area and find the best locations for our after ceremony pictures with the bridal party. She knew when the sun was due to set and how to work with that to get the best quality images. Working with the sun actually helped with the timeline of our whole evening.

Blue Velvet images was very helpful making the entire evening flow smoothly and we couldn't be happier with the images that were captured of our wedding!

Sandra had photographed my sister in laws wedding and her photos turned out amazing, so my husband and I had no reservations in hiring her to photograph our wedding this summer. Sandra and Jeff were great to work with on the day of the wedding. Sandra was also very prompt in responding to our several questions that we had throughout the wedding planning process. Our photos were delivered to us a couple weeks after our wedding and they look amazing! We could not have asked for anything better.

Sandra far exceeded our expectations for wedding photos!! She is so fun, involved, talented and just an overall wonderful person to work with. Not only does she take fabulous photos, but she's not afraid to tell you a piece of hair is out of place, or your smile is starting to look fake, etc. She responds to texts/emails in a very timely manner and works with your schedule to find what works. I would DEFINITELY recommend her for all your wedding/engagement photo needs. Very affordable as well :) We couldn't have been happier with our photos and service!!

Sandra with Blue Velvet Images was absolutely amazing! She came highly recommended early in our search by our videographer. While researching photographers, we were really looking for 2 things: the quality of work and personality. From her website and samples, it was obvious that she enjoys what she does and knows how to capture those special moments. She really sealed the deal though when we met with her in person. She was very flexible on when and where to meet, and we instantly felt like she was someone we could be comfortable with, and seem more like a friend attending the wedding.

We wanted engagement photos in addition to the wedding photos. The day of our engagement shoot, she was so accommodating, gave great suggestions, and definitely helped two camera-shy people feel at ease :)

The day of the wedding, the wedding party was running very behind. Luckily Sandra already knew our timeline for the day, the important pictures we wanted to capture, and the locations we had to work with. She was great helping to keep us stay on schedule while not rushing us through each shot. Once we got our pictures back, we were honestly so happy!

Everything from start to finish with Sandra has been absolutely wonderful, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fun, down-to-earth photographer who absolutely loves what she does!!

She is incredibly flexible and respectful with your vision. She has a great vision to add on fun pictures you wouldn't even think of. This allows you to enjoy your day and not worry about missing a thing. Pricing was fair and for the quality it was definitely worth it.

Sandra was such a great photographer! She captured every moment plus some that we wanted! I was pleased with all of communication we exchanged, as she was flexible in working with us as we lived 2 hours away and couldn't meet before the wedding. I especially loved that she didn't charge by the hour and stayed at the reception until everything we wanted was captured! Great photographer and great person! I would tell anyone that asked to use Blue Velvet Photography.

Sandra is absolutely amazing! Her pictures are beautiful. She has done both of my siblings weddings and mine within the last 4 years. We all absolutley loved our pictures. If you're looking for a great photographer who's reasonably priced go with Blue Velvet :) Sandra was so nice to work with. The pictures came out so beautiful and she took tons of them. She has a great eye and is very thoughtful. Also the pictures came pretty fast which is nice and she even sent a cute box with some prints of her favorite images. She went above and beyond for us. So happy we hired her for our wedding!
