My husband and I are some of the last of our friends to get married so we have been to A LOT of weddings together. One thing that always sticks out is the quality of the food and wedding food tends to be mediocre at best. For this reason, we were very concerned about our food. We had low expectations but we figured as long as it was enjoyable it would be fine. WELL, Blue Mountain BLEW US AWAY. I cannot express how delicious all of the food was, even at the large wedding scale. We had passed hors d'oeuvres and a grazing table during cocktail hour that our guests completely devoured, then we had the choice of salmon, beef or a vegetarian option for dinner. I did not see a plate that wasn't cleaned and afterwards and many of our guests told us how amazing the food was. Salmon is a very difficult thing to get right in general and this salmon was hands down the best we have ever had. We also used them for our cake, which was beautiful and wonderful. We did have a tasting ahead of time and everything was good, there was not a single item that we didn't enjoy. On top of that, working with Mary Anne is so easy. She knows exactly what she's doing and exactly what she needs for rentals (you do have to get all of the rentals separately, which isn't any big deal, Mary Anne will take care of all of the logistics). We highly recommend Blue Mountain!

We can’t thank BMB enough for catering our wedding at Onteora Mountain House this past September. A beautiful day perfected by delicious food and incredibly kind service. From the hors d’oeuvres to the plated service, to the beautiful cake… we could not have been happier. The tasting was one of our all time favorite parts of wedding planning because they make it IMPOSSIBLE to choose! You cannot go wrong and they are super flexible regarding customizations or allergies. Thank you to the team who made our dream day come to life, and keeping our guests so so happy!

My venue (Onteora Mountain House) works exclusively with Blue Mountain Bistro, and I was glad to be relieved of the stress of finding a caterer and a cake. Not only that, but the food was great! After buying food from their local shop and attending the tasting, I was actually excited for the food at my own wedding.

Everyone was wowed by the quality of the food—during cocktail hour their food was complimented several times and I even got asked “should I pace myself because dinner is going to be just as good?”

They also were incredibly helpful with figuring out and working with the allergens and dietary restrictions. Even our cake was amazing. We went for a gamble on a flavor we hadn't gotten to try at the tasting (red velvet,) and it honestly turned out to be my favorite.

I highly recommend them as a vendor!

Blue Mountain Bistro catered our wedding at Onteora Mountain House in June. The food was absolutely delicious and working with the BMB team was such a pleasure. Given Covid wedding planning, we had to rethink some things about our menu and how food would be served. The BMB team was so open to working with us to make sure the appetizers, dinner, and desserts were exactly what we envisioned. We had a lovely tasting where we got to try samples of all the food options which was essential to decision-making. We got so many compliments from our guests on the food. I *highly* recommend BMB for your catering needs!

Mary Anne and Richard of Blue Mountain Bistro created the most delicious spread of food for our wedding. Our family and friends raved about not only the taste but also how beautifully prepared and displayed everything was. Mary Anne was easy to work with and very responsive. It was obvious she wanted to make sure we had everything we wanted! We could not have imagined a more perfect cocktail hour, dinner and dessert ! Thank you so much!

Mary Anne and team catered our wedding at the Belltower Venue in Rosendale in May 2018. Our guests loved the approachable but refined barbecue menu and all of the staff went above and beyond the day of our wedding. Vegetarians told me they never have felt so satisfied at a wedding before. The bartenders were all amazing totally nailing our signature cocktail, pouring perfectly from the kegerator and keeping lines at a minimum throughout the evening. Everyone enjoyed the refreshingly not too sweet lemon buttercream cake as well. I would strongly recommend to anyone having a wedding in the Hudson Valley.

We had local duck confit, wild Alaskan sockeye, and the most delicious butternut squash bread pudding ever at our fall wedding at Onteora with Blue Mountain Bistro. They were a pleasure to work with from the tasting until after the wedding was concluded and I would highly recommend them!

Blue Mountain Bistro did an amazing job catering our daughter's wedding on May 27, 2017. Mary Anne was great to work with from day one...always available and very responsive and accommodating. It was a barn type wedding and we went with a more casual menu. The food was OUTSTANDING! Also, every server and bartender Mary Anne hired was professional and courteous. We used Blue Mountain Catering for our wedding at the Onteora Mountain House. They have so many great options it was hard to choose, but everything we picked was amazing. Several people have told us it is by far the best food they have ever had a wedding. Everything was amazing, but a few things especially stood out, the Maine Lobster rolls, crab cakes, and salmon dijonnaise were all to die for! The husband and wife team and super nice, and they were great to work with. We hope to have another event soon we can use them for!

We used Blue Mountain Bistro Catering, through our wedding venue, The Onteora Mountain House in Boiceville, NY. They are the exclusive caterer there. We went up for our tasting in March 2014 in preparation for our July 2014 wedding. We loved the entire tasting, and all the food provided. It didn't taste like your standard "wedding" food. I'll admit, I didn't eat much on the day of my wedding. I was running around too much, but my husband, family and guests did, and they haven't stopped raving about it. The cocktail hour was amazing. We had 4-5 passed appetizers that were all original and delicious. We also added on a raw bar (so, so, so amazing both taste-wise and presentation-wise) and a pasta station. Both were great. We served a plated dinner, with a salad course (so delicious- roasted walnuts, goat cheese and a great vinegarette), and 3 entree options: salmon, chicken stuffed with figs and olives, and a veggie option- sesame crusted tofu. My parents raved about the salmon, as did the guests. And my husband and his friends loved the chicken (it was served on the bone). I'm a vegetarian and often have to eat a pile of yucky grilled vegetables at weddings. My veggie option (which I actually ate) was a delicious, filling and well composed meal. The cake was great too! Chocolate with chocolate ganache filling and buttercream frosting. I highly recommend Blue Mountain for catering. So delicious and unique!
