I never realized what an enormous task it is to choose Save the Dates and Invitations for a wedding. My daughter chose some cute vintage postcards for the Save the Dates off of Etsy. As she was in busy season as an accountant, she asked me to take care of these tasks. Dealing with the Etsy vendor was was frustrating, cumbersome and communication via email was difficult but fairly inexpensive. In the end we had a nice Save the Date but I was exhausted and we still had the invitations in front of us.
I had taken a calligraphy class from Lauren a year or two ago and had seen her online portfolio. I had an inkling that good quality paper from Crane (150-300 lb.), beautiful calligraphy and letterpress would not be cheap--and it wasnt. However, Lauren is a designer and was able to custom design what we wanted for my daughters Vegas destination wedding. We ended up with beautiful desert-themed invitations with all of the above elements and more. One side of the letterpress & calligraphied RSVP card had a beautiful sepia-toned engagement photo and all were in her range of wedding colors. The whole process went so easily and our mailout deadline was met perfectly! We have some second round invitations to add later and Lauren is willing to calligraphy those in a second batch as we are still working out that list and didnt have it ready yet. I originally hired a calligrapher based on a Google search last minute, and he just happened to be the first listed. This gentleman canceled my order due to the 100 invites I needed addressed he decided after 3 days was not worth his time. Frantic as my RSVPS were already dated, I needed to get these out quickly! I did another search and this time spent time researching before just going with someone. That is how I found Lauren. Her website is super fun to follow her blogs on her adventures. A creative genius and pure artist! I contacted her and told her my situation. She was very reasonably priced and promised to make sure I was taken care of. She even had me stop by her adorable home. Everyone loved the touches she gave the envelopes. Most people said they were saving them just as much as they are saving the beautiful invitations. I could not be more happy! My son came with me to pick up the final product and got so amazed from her garden that he insisted on getting his own succulents! We now have about 8 potted around the house, and my four year old is addicted! Thanks Lauren for helping me, not over charging me, and making my invitations’’ envelopes GOREGOUS! Calligraphy seems to be a lost art but Lauren has definitely captured it expertly. I would definitely recommend researching your choices before just picking the first on the list. Lauren offers quality service, many options, custom designs, all at affordable prices.

Lauren is so incredibly creative. She absolutely took my tiny kernel of an idea and created a beautiful, unique event that absolutely reflected who we are as a couple. She is trustworthy, timely, and all-around wonderful. I'm so proud to have had the opportunity to work with her.

Lauren was such a pleasure to work with! She gave my traditional invitations a pop of flair, and in addition to her design services, addressed the invitations so beautifully with her unique calligraphy. She was such a steal too - designing, printing, and addressing my suite in a super-tight time frame for far less than I would have expected to pay! I received so many compliments on her work, and cannot wait to call her up soon to create a gorgeous invitation or announcement!

Lauren at Blue Eye Brown Eye is absolutely fabulous and has a great eye for detail. She is so friendly,professional, and a dream to work with. I was elated with the final outcome of our project, as were my guests--I had several call me to comment that her calligraphy was among the prettiest they'd seen.
