Blue Dot is a dynamic band based in D.C., featuring talented local musicians and providing an exquisite musical experience that's second to none. Having begun as a jazz ensemble in 2017, Blue Dot has grown to cover an array of genres from pop, funk, blues, Latin, to soul and Brazilian music. Our diverse musical range and professional pedigree make us the ideal choice for couples-to-be seeking a multi-faceted band that can deliver an acoustic ambiance for the ceremony, a jazzy vibe for the cocktail hour, and an energetic pop dance mix for the reception.

Blue Dot is also the resident band at the Alex Speakeasy in Georgetown, one of the town's top jazz venues. This regular interaction has fostered a seamless musical harmony amongst us, which is evident in our performances.

We've graced numerous high-profile venues throughout the Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland metro area, including prominent hotels like the Line Hotel, the Mandarin Oriental, and the Intercontinental at the Wharf. Our music has also resonated through top-tier museums like the Renwick Gallery, the Spy Museum, and the Planet Word Museum, as well as famous restaurants and lounges such as the 18th Street Lounge, Eaton D.C., and the Tabard Inn.

From duo to sextet, we tailor our performances to suit the client's preferences, promising a musical experience that will get everyone on their feet. Moreover, our pianist Andy also offers solo piano performances, having been regularly engaged as the "house pianist" at the prestigious Washington Golf & Country Club and the University Club in D.C.
