Steamboat Wedding Success!

The Blissful Moment Events team (Misty, Katie, & Chelsea) were outstanding for our ~150 person wedding in Steamboat Springs/Oak Creek. Misty is on top of things and very easy to communicate with (text or email), always maintaining a positive attitude. She even helped source a local Grand Junction vendor when our linens fell through, which was a huge help. Katie was attentive and helpful as the bridal attendant throughout our wedding day - from keeping everyone on schedule to carrying all my items around. The wedding went fantastic even with complicated logistics including multiple locations for the ceremony and reception and transportation for out of state guests. It was the BME team’s first wedding at our reception venue (Lucky 8 Ranch) & they knocked it out the park! I would recommend Blissful Moments to anyone looking for an organized, experienced team to give them piece of mind in wedding planning.

Amazing Planners

I cannot say enough great things about Misty and the entire Blissful Moment Events team. From the moment that I started working with Misty (1 year before my wedding), she was great. It’s obvious how much she cares from the moment that you meet her. Before I started with her, I was completely overwhelmed. She took the reins and guided me throughout the entire process. Whenever I couldn’t make a decision, I fully trusted her to make one based on her experience and understanding of my vision for the day. I was doing a destination wedding for both of us - it was in Virginia, so she didn’t know the vendors in the area and I didn’t either. Even though I’m sure this made it a bit harder for her, I could never tell. She was always extremely prepared for meetings, researched all of the vendors thoroughly, and she would work to come up with a plan that was within my budget and my vision. I gained a bit of my life back when I hired her.

On the day of, I didn’t need to think about literally anything. I didn’t even know what time it was for pretty much the entire day. Misty and Olivia worked with all of my vendors to make sure that we were on time and everything was set up how I wanted it to be. The day turned out to be stunning. They also managed to have all of the bridesmaids and groomsmen corralled and under control for getting ready and photos, which was no easy task. By the end of the day, everyone (including the single groomsmen!) who had spoken with Misty and Olivia said that they would be hiring them for their weddings, which is a testament to how enjoyable they were to be around and how well they handled everything that came their way. They managed to handle issues without missing a beat and without me even knowing, including a groomsmen missing their flight & not getting in until an hour before we started, a missing groomsmen shirt, and a bridesmaid who wanted everything to go her way (as well as probably more that I don’t even know about). They went above and beyond by handling an out of line, drunk guest with professionalism and kindness, which was more than I could have asked for. I was so extremely grateful to have them there for me and my now husband on the day. They allowed us to focus on each other and our memories throughout the day, instead of on logistics, planning, and everything else.

I would absolutely recommend Misty, Olivia, and the Blissful Moment Events team to everyone. I was unsure on if I needed a full planning team, but they were by far the best investment that I could have made in myself before the wedding (allowed me to get my life back a bit!) as well as in the day of. If I ever have another large event to plan, I will be reaching out to them to see if they have expanded past weddings!

Fantastic team!

I just had the pleasure of working with Misty and Olivia and they were the best to work with! They were on the planning end of a couple that booked their wedding at our venue, Shaw's River Ranch. Everything went off without a hitch. They kept me informed throughout the planning process, sent copies of contracts, and did a great job the day of coordinating and setting everything up. I am sure the bride and groom were happy they hired this team! I hope I get to work with them again.

Misty's Amazing!

It was a pleasure getting to work with Mist at Blissful Moment Events. It was my first time as a wedding photographer and thanks to her organizational skills she had a schedule that was super easy to follow. This was helpful to know what specific moments to capture. Misty was also very attentive in ensuring that I was doing well as well as everyone in the bridal party. It was amazing getting to see what Misty created.

So grateful for her!

This wedding would not have been the success it was without Misty! No joke! She was very professional, super easy to work with, and kept everyone calm at all times. There was a problem with one of the vendors and she took care of it right away, while keeping the bride calm and updated throughout the process. She literally took care of everything… even the little things that we forgot about. She showed up early to make sure that all the final details were perfect and stayed late to help clean up. That was a HUGE blessing. She did a fabulous job at making sure we kept to the schedule to fit in all the fun that was planned for the night. But most importantly, she made sure that the bride and groom had the most fun and stress free night of their lives! Misty is truly the best!

Misty helped to make our wedding day perfect

We could have never pulled it off without Misty. The time between our engagement and the wedding was just over 2 months. I did not have the first clue where to start, and Misty made it easy. We talked about our vision for our day and she supplied us a list of vendors that matched what we were looking for. She gave us the option of contacting them for us, but I wanted to contact them myself. She checked in with us frequently to make sure we were on track and not forgetting anything. The day of the wedding she showed up and took all worry and stress off of me. She took my vision and made it happen. Misty and her team did it all, from making the table centerpieces perfect, setting up the flowers along the isle, organizing the vendors and directing them as needed. If there was a glitch I never knew about it. The timeline she planned was perfect, We felt like the whole event flowed really well. Misty was so good at keeping everything running smoothly that we had zero worries and we were able to enjoy our guests and every moment of our wedding. People have asked me how did the wedding go and all I can say is, it was perfect! Thanks to Misty and her team, my dream day was truly perfect.

Partial Planning Package Review

We did the $3500 Wedding Management Package which included pre-wedding support and full day-of wedding coverage. Misty and her team were really kind and easy to work with during the planning process. They did an amazing job setting up our ceremony and reception. Unfortunately we were really disappointed with the day-of coordination. If you are thinking of a partial package, it’s worth being aware that it may not mean full coordination, even though our contract included services like full day wedding coverage and timeline management.

An assistant was supposed to meet the girls while we were getting ready, but no one from the team came. I called to make sure everything was okay and was told they would meet us at the venue. When we arrived at the venue, Misty and her assistant were setting up which was great, but we didn’t have support once we arrived. There wasn’t anyone with us or the wedding party to help tell people what was next on the timeline before the ceremony started. The person delivering our ceremony chairs had not been told the correct ceremony spot. No one helped the wedding party line up for the processional, which was challenging because we have a big family and had quite a few people to organize. When guests arrived, no one was there to meet them and direct them to their seats for the ceremony. When it was time to do toasts, no one was around to start those and let people know that they were up next. After the reception, we asked for everything to be sent home with our moms, but items were sent with other people despite our instructions. When people showed up to take down our ceremony chairs, they mistakenly drove the truck onto the venue meadow, which got us in trouble with the venue. The venue had told the Blissful team to ensure that no one drove on the meadow, but the rule hadn’t been communicated to the chair guys and no one was present to prevent that.

The next day, I emailed Misty to ask why we didn’t have full coordination or good timeline management. We were told that one team member couldn’t make it that weekend due to illness, so there were only two team members on site instead of three. I wish we would have been given a heads up about that so that we could have better prepared for less support. However, she also said complete coordination wasn’t part of the package, even though our contract included what it described as “full wedding day coverage” and “timeline management”.

Again, our wedding was beautiful and everything was set up perfectly, but the main reason we hired someone was to help with coordination and the people part of the day. Our venue required them to sign an agreement saying they would be in charge of all day-of coordination tasks, even down to small things like getting guests to seats. Misty apologized, but I’m still confused that set-up was the only focus when our agreement clearly described it as full day wedding coverage. I’m afraid I can’t recommend them for partial planning.
