Blissful Hill

Our wedding was originally scheduled in May 2020 and we postponed to March 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Katrina, Kara, and their team took care of us so well! I cannot recommend them enough!

We originally were planning to invite 200 people, to have a 90 person rehearsal dinner, and to stay in the cabins with our wedding party for the weekend. Unfortunately, COVID royally screwed our plans. Blissful Hill worked with us and allowed us to move our date, no fees attached. We reduced our wedding size down to 40 people and to reduce exposure, we decided to skip the rehearsal dinner and to not stay at the venue for the weekend. We were extremely sad to have to change our plan and fully expected that a reduction in service would mean that Blissful Hill might not want to work with us. We came to them at the end of 2020 and let them know of our revised plan. They exceeded our expectations and were completely willing to accommodate our new plan. I truly could not believe it after hearing so many horror stories from other brides who weren’t allowed to change their date, or had to pay a costly fee to change their date, and who could not make any revisions to their original plan. I was so absolutely grateful that Blissful Hill worked with us every step of the way to help give us the best possible wedding under the circumstances. If COVID were not enough, it rained ALL DAY on our wedding day and we had originally planned to keep everything outside. I literally made the decision to bring it all inside a couple of hours before ceremony start, they were so flexible and were able to get everything moved to be indoors! Luckily, however, the rain cleared just enough for us to have a beautiful ceremony outside still!

Originally, we selected their venue because of the seamless experience their all-inclusive venue could provide. As busy, young professionals, my husband and I really did not have a lot of time to devote to planning details and doing DYI crafts to plan our wedding. I had some vision in my head, but really was not set on any specific details. I gave Kara my Pinterest board and we had a couple of meetings to discuss some of the smaller details and I told her that I trusted her to take it from there. She and her team delivered the most dreamy, beautiful wedding day!! I think one of my favorite things that really set our wedding apart from the others was when, as the bride, I was escorted down to the ceremony site in a neat old vintage car. So cool!

For those who are wondering what is and is not included, here is my list. Included in the “Dress and We do the Rest”: venue, tables, chairs, flowers, bouquets/boutonnieres for up to 6 bridesmaids/groomsmen, centerpieces, food/serving staff (a choice of BBQ, Pasta, or Fajitas – we chose fajitas and many of our guests came to us after the wedding to let us know how much they enjoyed the food!), cake/cake cutting (Michelle’s Patisserie – absolutely fabulous cake!), DJ (we hired a live stream service who also DJ’d for us, but there is a DJ available included in the package), bartender and bar supplies, photography, 4 cottages that sleep up to 18 people for the whole weekend. Not Included (things I purchased): hair/makeup, bridesmaid robes, glowsticks for dance party, sparklers for send off, Save the Dates/Invitations and postage, bridesmaid bouquet ribbons, bouquets/boutonnieres for bridesmaids/groomsmen over 6, snacks/drinks for getting ready the day of, guestbook or other item for guest signing, alcohol, cups/napkins and ice for the bar. Other add-ons the venue can provide for an additional charge – food for each guest over 150, there are some various food and snack add-ons for the day of that you can select, they can host and provide a rehearsal dinner the Friday before for an additional cost per guest, there are additional cottages on the premises that can sleep up to 26 more guests. Note that the “Big House” has to be booked via VRBO, but the other cottages Blissful Hill can book for you, as long as they have not already been booked by someone else (these cottages are open to the public).

Everything was insanely perfect. The entire team made my vision come to life and all my dreams come true! From the delicious food, to the beautiful cakes, decor, and flowers! I’m still beaming just thinking of how perfect my day was and it was all thanks to the team!

Oh, Blissful Hill. Where to start? My now-husband and I met in Austin and when we got engaged, decided almost immediately that we wanted to get married there. Living out of town, we researched endlessly the costs and logistics of various venues in the Austin area. When we found Blissful Hill, we were shocked by the quality of their weddings and the stunning venue, and were even more pleasantly surprised that they were available in April when we were hoping to get married. From the earliest planning stages to the days after the wedding, they were a dream to work with. Time and time again, they reassured us (and our parents!) that they had it taken care of and more importantly, showed us that they did. They worked with us tirelessly to make sure they were clear on our vision and knew how to bring it to life. They went above and beyond, particularly the day of the wedding. In what could have been several nightmare scenarios - a guest tripped and got injured, there were torrential storms up until an hour before the ceremony, several older family members were freezing cold due to the winds - they handled the day-of emergencies to the point that my husband and I didn't even find out until after the fact. They took care of every person who was there, from providing blankets, to giving golf cart rides down the hill, to even giving us some leftover sparklers so that we could have a sparkler exit. We had an issue with trying to make returns to the liquor store the next day since it was a Sunday, and Katrina offered to return it for us. I mean, WHO DOES THAT!? I cannot thank the staff at Blissful Hill enough for helping to make our day perfect. We have nothing but incredible memories of that night, and I know it was largely due to them. If you're a future Blissful Hill couple, you're lucky, because you are in the best hands!

Blissful Hill is the most wonderful place to get married and not just because of how beautiful the property and the venue are. The family and team that run this place add the most genuine and personal touch. They make you feel like family and go above and beyond to bring your dream wedding to life. I got married there on September 29th and right before the ceremony it rained..hard. They set the whole thing us for an indoor wedding, and then the rain stopped. I have ALWAYS dreamed of an outdoor wedding. When the rain stopped, Katrina looked at me and said, "Do you hear that? The rain is gone! Do you want to do this outside?" And just like that the team wiped everything down, accompanied my guests outside, and made my outdoor ceremony dream a reality. I can't thank Katrina, Kara, Erin, and the whole clan enough. You'd be crazy to get married anywhere else!!!

Okay so you're browsing all these different venues and the reviews looking for one to pop out... well look no further. Blissful Hill is the place to be!!!!
My husband and I got married here in September 2017, almost a year later I can still say that our wedding was absolutely perfect because of Blissful Hill and their staff. That dream wedding you have pictured in your head, yeah they get it. They will make that picture become a reality. They are extremely detail oriented and will figure every single piece out until its exactly what you want. When I was planning my wedding there was so many "little" things I didn't even think of, well Blissful Hill already had it taken care of for me. Yall... I TOOK A NAP THE MORNING OF MY WEDDING. Yes, a nap. Instead of running around like a crazy person the day of my wedding I was dreaming about my future with my soul mate. Okay that was cheesy, but seriously the staff did everything for me! They are amazing people, you leave feeling like family. Now lets get to the actual wedding... the ceremony was perfect there was not one thing I would have done differently. The reception was so much fun, the food was delicious. Such wonderful memories. The only thing I wish is that I could relive it over and over every day!
This is your place, trust me.

Extremely accommodating, friendly and always available with answers to all of my questions. This place is absolutely amazing and worth every penny! They walk you through everything and are there every step of the way. You can tell they actually care about you and your wants and needs versus just getting payment. We had such a great time at the wedding and planning it that I'm actually sad it's over. And for a bride to say that, is HUGE! Seriously, this place is for you!!!

We were the first wedding at the venue and they did an amazing job. Made my whole family feel welcome and comfortable. Could not have asked for a better venue or people to run it.

Kara and Katrina, we can't say enough about these two amazing women. They are truly heaven sent. Both of them and their family welcomed us with open arms during our initial meeting. It felt more like a family get together than a venue appt. We met with the venue when it was just a barn, but we fell in love with them, and there vision. After meeting them, we knew we wanted our wedding at Blissful Hill and it was the best decision we ever made.. The entire event was flawless from the decoration, to the ceremony, to the food and lighting. Our guests were beyond impressed and literally had the time of their lives.. Majority of them stated that it was the best wedding they ever attended. Kara was extremely hands on and walked us through every step during the preparation of the wedding. Without her, we would've been lost. Also, when meeting Erin, she was so hands on with the floral décor, it was absolutely gorgeous. The open communication that we were able to have was great, always willing to assist with any questions I had, day or night. I want to thank them for making our wedding a dream come true.. Do not waste your time visiting any other venue. BLISSFUL HILL IS THE PLACE FOR YOU.. TRUST ME. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT
