Big Rock Creek in Saint Croix Falls, Wisconsin, is so much more than just a place to get married! This is the place to host the ultimate wedding experience! Big Rock Creek offers lodging for up to 24 people right on the property.

Imagine arriving on Thursday afternoon, walking along Big Rock Creek on our 23 miles of trails (while the guys try to catch some trout), then hosting your rehearsal dinner right on site! On Friday, you get to wake up and really enjoy the day! If no one else has reserved the day prior you can set up the barn for your reception from noon to 4 on Friday so you aren't rushed on your wedding day. Friday night, enjoy the evening out by one of our massive fire pits with the most important people in your life - after a paddleboat ride out on the private lake, of course. Saturday is the big day, but it's a breeze because you're at Big Rock Creek! Everything is already all set up and ready to go. Your only job for the day is to look beautiful and show up!

Facilities and Capacity

Where to begin? Big Rock Creek has lodging for 30 on-site! We have 3 different cabins. Each cabin has a massive outdoor fire pit and adirondack chairs. The Clubhouse (sleeps 14-17) the Family Cabin (sleeps 5) and Elroy's (sleeps 7-9) all of our cabins are air conditioned, heated and have indoor fireplaces.

For things to do, we have a private lake right outside the door! The facility has paddleboards, paddleboats, kayaks, and canoes for you to enjoy during your stay. There is a nice trail that goes all the way around the lake, along with 23 miles of hiking and biking trails throughout the almost 1,000 acres. For a fee you can rent our side by sides and golf carts during your stay. Trust us, you'll wish you could stay longer!

Services Offered

Wedding events that can be held at Big Rock Creek include engagement parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, elopements, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, and receptions. Wedding packages begin with onsite parking, chairs, and tables. We provide power for free at our ceremony site which sites peacefully by our creekside under a canopy of trees. Additional wedding services offered include:

Cuisine

Big Rock Creek has 5 prefered caterers we use to give you flexiability in your budget and food preferences. Big Rock Creek does hold a liquor license so we will provide the beverages for the event, but the liquor would still need to be paid for. All events come with staffing of two bartenders.

Accommodation

The estate includes the Clubhouse, Elroy's Place, and the Family Cabin available for rent, and can thus accommodate up to 24 guests onsite. In addition to our 3 temperature controlled cabins, we have glamping tents and RV water and power hook up sites.

The Clubhouse: This turn-of-the-century beauty contains 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms one with a massive clawfoot tub, a dressing room, a wrap around porch, kitchen and living room. This home has plenty of space for friends and families to come together. The Big Rock Lake is just steps from the front porch with clean water that is great for swimming, kayaking, and watersports. Just bring your suits and towels! (Sleeps 14-17)

The Family Cabin: Love at first sight! We renovated this cabin in 2020! This rustic, secluded hideaway exudes charm with its fireplace, and porch overlooking our beautiful lake to enjoy morning coffee or a cocktail at sunset. This cabin is a great way to get on a lake and leave your worries behind! Not to mention, it sits on a 980 acre estate and is equipped with your own private fire pit and gas grill! (Sleeps 5)

Elroy's Place: Named after the former caretaker, the newest home on the property was completely furnished spring 2019. The home is an excellent location for family gatherings. A big open kitchen, dinning room and living room upstairs and large family room on the lower level. Whether it's a family getaway, girls' weekend, or friends' reunion, Elroy's will be a wonderful place to gather (sleeps 7-9)

Other Services

In addition to weddings, Big Rock Creek is also available to host other special events and celebrations. These include corporate events, family reunions, hunting and fishing trips, and family vacations.

History

Big Rock Creek Trout Farm was purchased in 1914 by a group of businessmen, including the Siems brothers. In the early 1920s, the Siems brothers were involved in building railroads locally and bought out the other owners. The farm would not change ownership again for almost a century.

Location

Big Rock Creek is located near the St. Croix River, and is a short drive from nearby outdoor activities. These include state parks, snowmobile trails, hunting and fishing, wineries, and breweries.
