We had the wedding of our DREAMS! All thanks to Big Rock Creek. The staff helped ensure the day ran smoothly and we couldn’t have asked for a more stunning location to start our forever :) every detail from the creek side ceremony, to the bar, to the stunning reception- made our dream come true! 

The scenery here is great, and the staff are very helpful with setup and teardown!

Our wedding at Big Rock Creek was an absolute dream come true! The venue is gorgeous—our guests couldn’t stop raving about the breathtaking scenery and the peaceful, natural beauty of the property. From the picturesque lake to the charming animals and open spaces, it was like stepping into a fairytale.

There was truly something for everyone to enjoy. Guests walked the trails, visited the animals, played yard games, cozied up by the bonfire, and even enjoyed a wagon ride and live music. It wasn’t just a wedding—it was an unforgettable experience for all ages!

We chose the platinum package, which included full-weekend lodging for our families. It was the perfect way to bring everyone together and start our new chapter. We even stayed an extra day to soak in the peaceful surroundings and were lucky enough to see deer, swans, eagles—and even a bear!

The staff at Big Rock Creek was phenomenal—so friendly, responsive, and accommodating every step of the way. From setup to send-off, everything ran smoothly thanks to their support and care.

I got married in July 2022. Like any bride I was so stressed about everything being perfect. The staff at big rock creek was so amazing and made sure everything went perfectly! They treated us like old family friends and made us feel so special and made me feel so beautiful on my big day! I will never recommend another venue to anyone because this one was absolute perfection! Even things I hadn’t thought of they had covered! Becky was so sweet and so easy going, she helped me relax so much when I was having bridal freak outs, and was just that amazing, caring, and level headed friend you need while planning a wedding. I can’t imagine the disaster we’d have gotten married in without Becky and Amber. They all truly made our big day! It was beyond beautiful and I couldn’t be happier with the entire weekend. I highly recommend renting golf carts, I couldn’t get enough of using them to explore and neither could our guests! Thank you so much big rock creek! We hope you are ready to see us camping every year for our anniversary! That’s how much we loved it! If you are thinking about booking them for your event DO IT! Everything they touch turns to gold and their events are pure magic!

We fell in love with Big Rock Creek the minute we arrived for our initial tour. It was just what we were looking for and was able to accommodate our large number of guests. The property is serene, the barn is one of a kind, and Becky and her team made us feel like family. Big Rock Creek helped us create a day that was beyond our dreams!

Kelly was amazing to work with! She was super responsive from the very beginning and she showed us all around. One day day of our wedding she even took us out to the lookout spot for some gorgeous pictures! This venue is by far the best and made our special day more than we could have ever asked for! As a wedding photographer, I loved working with Kelly and her staff at Big Rock Creek! They are kind, caring, and are constantly thinking of ways they can make their couples' days better and better. It was a cozy November (2019) wedding at the beautiful Big Rock Creek! The staff at BRC is phenomenal to work with and the history they shared about it is unforgettable! They truly made our wedding reception flow smoothly to where we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We had our ceremony at our local church and in the meantime BRC made sure all of our decorations lights were turned on and everything in place.
We are SO happy we went with Big Rock Creek!! The moment we toured it, we knew it was the place for us! We are very fortunate for a venue of this size in our area. We were able to easily seat 385 people comfortably for the dinner (and 15 more people showed up later) on ONE level! All of our guests were in awe of its beauty and with majority of our family being farmers were amazed with how big the barn was! So many compliments we received on the venue and, of course Maggie, the highlander cow!

Kelly and the team at Big Rock Creek made our wedding day an absolute dream come true! Our first walk through of the property had my husband, and I completely obsessed. The grounds and the barn are A-MAZING! We saw deer the minute we entered and there were butterflied hovering over the gardens (the place is freakin' Narnia). We knew we wanted to get married there immediately.
What we didn't know the day we decided to get married there is how easy and perfect everything was going to be handled. Kelly was there for us every step of the way planning and preparing so that the weekend of our wedding went off without any stress but the weather (which also ended up cooperating). There are so many options available for ceremony sites and seating layouts and barn configuration that you really get to make it your own. Also loved that they were open to any certified caterer or baker, so we got to bring in exactly what we wanted. Overall, could not ask for a better experience working for them, and my husband and I both agree that we could not have had a more perfect wedding!

When looking for a wedding venue, we were searching for not only a gorgeous venue for the ceremony & reception, but a true getaway for us & our guests. We definitely got that with Big Rock Creek! We rented out the property for both Saturday & Sunday night (Labor day weekend wedding) and were able to have everything from rehearsal dinner, to lodging for all family and bridal party on site. It truly felt like a vacation weekend, and not just our wedding.
There were SO MANY great places on the property (which is just under 1,000 acres) for photos. BRC even helped us coordinate a tractor ride up to a beautiful overlook for our bridal party after the ceremony (and supplied enough white claws & beer to get the party started).
There were three ceremony locations to choose from, and the staff was very accommodating in making sure we were able to make our vision a reality - and our ceremony turned out PERFECTLY! Speaking of staff ensuring a great experience, Kelly was a dream to work with. Very hands on (she even rode down on the wagon with my dad & I and fluffed my dress right before I walked down the aisle). Granted they are newer and there were a few hiccups in planning, I also enjoyed the newness because you could tell they were dedicated to making our wedding exactly what we wanted. Everyone on staff was so friendly and went absolutely above and beyond what was asked.

I cannot recommend Big Rock Creek enough for anyone looking for a magical wedding surrounded by nature. I told myself I would NEVER get married in a barn, but when I saw BRC, that quickly changed my mind. Yes, it's a farm and barn property and you could definitely play that up. However, what we fell in love with was the landscape and how we were able to customize our wedding to make it our own.

Will definitely be coming back someday and staying with our future children!

I would highly recommend Big Rock Creek if you are looking for a rustic, barn wedding. The venue itself was beautiful and although it rained the morning of our wedding and we weren’t able to have the ceremony outside, we were able to make the bottom level of the barn worked for our ceremony.

The venue’s animals were a hit with the guests during cocktail hour and after the reception. They also ended up having a slip and slide and bounce house that some of my little cousins used. They had a blast and definitely burned some extra energy.

They had a list of preferred vendors and I would highly recommend Deutschland’s pasta bar - all of our guests were obsessed with the Italian sausage that they make homemade. We also used Complete Wedding for our DJ and Photo which worked well as they already knew the venue. We would also highly recommend pizza for a late night snack. For us it was $30 per pizza which is hefty but they tasted AMAZING so it was totally worth it.

As far as logistics go, we had a 200 person wedding and for every extra 10 people over 200 they would charge an extra $100. So we made sure to stick to 200 people. We needed wedding insurance as well a $1,500 damage deposit. I think 200 was the perfect amount. We declined renting any of the permanent structures as those costed quite a bit but did rent campsites which was so fun! The groomsmen went up the night before to camp and hangout around the bonfires and then the rest of the wedding party and some family members stayed the night of the wedding.

The staff was very communicative, and flexible as we waited to the last minute to decide to do an inside vs outside ceremony because of the weather. Barb the day of host was GREAT! Shauna was prompt in all of her communication and was very positive and supportive. The bartenders were also so fun and kept up with the orders all night.

Big Rock Creek is an absolutely stunning place to get married. My wife and I got married in June 2022 and we had our ceremony at the creek side site and followed with our reception in the barn. Everything is absolutely beautiful. The large property is also great for exploring and privacy. You definitely pay for everything, but if you have the budget to accommodate, then I would highly recommend!
