Can't recommend Big Magic enough. Their incredible repertoire and energetic spirit kept everyone out on the dance floor all night. But what stood out for me and my husband was Sean's gentle and considerate style of coordination. Over several calls, he helped us fill out all the details of what we wanted the ceremony and reception to feel like. After attending other weddings where the microphones had tech issues, it was such a relief to know their set up was up to date and tested. Everything worked perfectly and went so smoothly. Sean, thank you again! The best.

The Big Magic Band is by far the best wedding band that I have ever listened to. Working in the wedding industry, I've heard a lot of bands, and the Big Magic Band does not even compare. When I got engaged, I knew that I wanted a band over a DJ. I've had the privilege of working with Sean for different events and when I found out that he had a wedding band I knew that I needed to book them.

The Big Magic Band exceeded all of our expectations and truly made our reception so special. I have a large family that loves to dance and the dance floor was full all night. The band covered all genres and music through the decades and nailed every song.

There is nothing as good as live music and there is nothing better than great live music. Big Magic delivered. My daughter's wedding was the dance party of the century!. I'm not sure how they did it, but every song they played whether from the '50s or '60s or from the '00s or '10s or '20s were all great dance songs - and everyone was on the dance floor. Even saw our 80 year old friends jumpin' up and down with the 30 year olds to the music of Big Magic.
Early on in the wedding process, we debated whether to hire a DJ or a band. We decided that having a live band - if it was a really good live band - would make the wedding a great event. We were right. Big Magic is the "greatest band in the land" - and made a very special celebration a spectacular celebration.

If you’re looking for a wedding band to make your night beyond magical, Sean and the crew at Big Magic are just the ticket!! Having formed up over a year ago, we were lucky enough they were still available for our date and they absolutely brought the party to our special night! Their big band crushed it, playing the classiest dinner set that got our guests grooving in between courses and then built it up into a raucous playlist which kept the dance floor going All Night Long!! They were so good that people kept asking us where we found them!! It was truly beyond our wildest dreams, so thank you so much Sean & Co. for making our night an absolute blast!

No exaggeration. I’ve attended my fair share of incredible weddings with amazing bands hailing from major US cities, and Big Magic is the best of the best. When my husband and I were planning our wedding, music was our top “thing”. We knew we wanted to go with a band and took our time deciding on who we wanted to go with. When we booked Big Magic they had just recently formed, so there weren’t any reviews to go off of and we hadn’t seen them play anywhere before – but they had a BANGIN’ promo video and there was something about their vibe that we just loved from the start, and as soon as we talked to Sean we were sold. Now a month out from our wedding I’m still processing how INSANELY INCREDIBLE this group of musicians is. If I could write 1000 5-star reviews for them I would because they made our night pure MAGIC. Truly our guests were in awe, and several of them asked if the band was playing recordings because they sound THAT GOOD. Honestly better than the records. They knew how to read the crowd and the dance floor was full all night long – and after they played the last song our group gave them relentless encore chants – it was just that good. (And yes, they kindly obliged!). This group of people that Sean has assembled is phenomenal – we’re tempted to get married again so we can hear them play another set. If you are able to book them for your wedding PLEASE DO SO NOW. Don’t hesitate. You will not regret one second of it. Sean and his band are a powerhouse group—they're an incredibly talented bunch of professional musicians, and truly the best of the best. Booking an amazing live band was one of our top priorities in the wedding planning process, and we felt so lucky to have found Big Magic. They played our wedding in September and kept the energy on the dance floor going all night. Our venue was outdoors and felt like a magical outdoor concert, which is exactly what we were looking for. Most of our conversations with our guests after the wedding have been about how fantastic the band was.

We booked Big Magic about a year out from the wedding, and Sean stayed in touch with us every step of the way, taking the time to get to know our music preferences and working with our venue—Oxbow Beer Garden—to ensure that the night ran smoothly. He's also just an incredibly kind and patient human being, and it was so lovely to get to know him along the way—exactly the kind of person you want to meet when you're planning something like this! Once we chatted about what we were looking for and shared our first dance (which they learned—they played a gorgeous cover of "I'll Haunt You" by Tennis, one of our favorite songs!) + special dance picks, Sean took it from there and had everything handled. Wedding planning was a whirl, but we never had to worry about how great the music was going to be. And it was even better than we could have imagined—every song was a hit.

In the months leading up to our wedding, Sean Morin, the band leader and emcee, was highly responsive and organized, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. He even adapted seamlessly to a change in wedding planners halfway through our process, coordinating beautifully with our new planner to ensure everything went off without a hitch.

From the moment Big Magic started playing at our reception, the dance floor was never empty. The singers and musicians showcased their incredible talent, delivering tight harmonies and an excellent sound balance which made for an extremely polished performance. (I’m a member of a very musical family, so we know good live music when we hear it!)

Our guests were thoroughly engaged the entire reception because Big Magic kept the energy high all night. Remarkably, they only took one 15-minute break during the four hours they played! One of the best moments of the night was when Sean announced that the first shuttle bus would be leaving shortly, and the whole crowd booed! Big Magic even succumbed to the crowd’s request/demand for “One more song!” and launched into an encore of the nostalgic tune, "Wagon Wheel.” It was perfect.

On top of all of that, Sean coordinated with my dad to arrange and rehearse a special dedication song that my dad wanted to surprise my husband and me with at the reception. Big Magic treated my father like a pro and let him live out his Rat Pack crooner dreams.

We recently hired Big Magic for our wedding in Maine. From the outset, Sean was very easy to communicate with and always prompt in his responses, even 9 months in advance of the wedding date. Sean is someone you look forward to talking to and puts you at ease. He made choosing the song selection easy and helped organize the flow of the day. Every business should have a Sean!
The performance itself was seriously amazing. You could tell these folks were music veterans with how tight their arrangement was. The energy and enthusiasm from every band member were incredible, and our guests all told us they were the best band they’d seen. The dance floor was packed the entire performance – no one wanted to sit down! The set list they came up with was perfect for the crowd and perfectly matched what we wanted in the party. The band has a very rich and full sound, and the two lead singers were engaging and brought the perfect vibe for each song. We can honestly say that Big Magic turned our reception into the party of a lifetime. We are both live music fans, and if Big Magic were performing at a concert, we would without a doubt buy tickets to see them, they are that good.
