I could not recommend BeyondTheUpdo enough! From the very first conversation, Ciarrah went above and beyond. Before I even officially booked, I spoke with her on the phone to explain exactly what I was looking for. I had a particular vision due to some mixed past experiences with professional makeup services, and she immediately reassured me. Ciarrah personally checked on me during my trial to make sure my look ended up how I wanted and followed up the next day to make sure the look lasted. She and her team took notes on any corrections I wanted post-trial to make sure we could incorporate them on wedding day. On the morning of the wedding, the team was incredibly professional, calm, and talented. They showed up early and finished on time. Between the magic of Amanda, Erica, April, Kristin, and Nicole, all of our hair and makeup looked amazing. I truly felt like an elevated version of myself. BTU made getting ready a true joy, and I am so thankful I trusted them with such an important part of my wedding day!

Working with BeyondTheUpdo was such a smooth and incredible experience. They were very flexible with all of the details, from scheduling my hair trial around my tricky work schedule, to working with us through our original venue cancellation, to last minute increasing the number of girls whose hair my stylist did on the day of the wedding– their communication and flexibility was always so appreciated. My stylist Jordan is incredibly talented. My hair trial was flawless, and she effortlessly made the few changes that I requested on my wedding day– and my hair stayed put into the night. I felt like a princess all day! All of my bridesmaids and family were also obsessed with their hairstyles as well. In fact, my sister showed her an inspiration photo of a complicated-looking flowy braid, and Jordan took one glance at the photo and recreated the hairstyle without taking another look. Jordan was extremely quick with her work- she did a total of 9 services, starting at 8 am and ending around 1 pm. She was also able to a variety of hairstyles: half-up-half-downs, updos, and a flowy braid. She did a beautiful updo on one of my bridesmaids who has very curly hair, using 46 bobby pins! Overall, my experience working with Jordan was amazing, and I would highly recommend working with her or anyone from the BeyondTheUpdo team for your wedding day!

I can’t say enough amazing things about the BeyondTheUpdo team! They truly brought my wedding hair vision to life it was exactly what I wanted and made me feel like such a princess all day. Ciarrah was so great to work with! She is extremely responsive and accommodating to any changes needing to be made. I did 2 trials to test different hairstyles and she was so receptive to feedback and tweaked anything needed. I had her do both rehearsal dinner and wedding and both turned out perfect.

It ended up raining on our wedding day and my hair did not move once. From 80 degrees during photos, torrential downpour, taking my veil on and off so many times along with dancing the night away my hair stayed the entire time.

Ciarrah is the one that I had the pleasure of working with for my wedding. The first time I met her at my bridal preview she brought a sense of calm!!! Ciarrah and her hair and makeup team with Beyond The Updo were a dream to work with and I can't recommend them enough! From email coordination, to the hair trial, to the day of the wedding everything was so seamless and professional. For my wedding hair trial I tested two different updo's and we chose the one I liked more. I loved that Ciarrah followed up with me later that night to see what I liked about the hairdo and what I thought needed to be improved to make it last on the day of my wedding.

On the morning of my wedding her and her hair and makeup team arrived on time (7:30AM) and everyone was so nice to work with, it was a great way to start my wedding morning. I have been a bridesmaid in a lot of weddings and I know how stressful getting hair and makeup completed ON TIME can be for the bride and photographer. I had 10 bridesmaids, 3 mothers, and myself to get done by 12:30PM with a tight photography schedule that didn't have allow for a lot of wiggle room and I was stressed about timing. Not only did they finish everyone's hair and makeup on time, but they were able to go back through each girl to do touch ups as needed. All of our hair and makeup lasted the entire day and night in the humid Maryland June weather.

I loved my ponytail updo that Ciarrah did for me and she really adapted the changes we noted from my hair style and it worked out perfectly for my wedding day. I couldn't be happier and can't recommend Ciarrah and her team enough!

Ciarrah was the absolute best hair stylist and I’m so glad I had her for my wedding! She totally got my vision at the trial and was so easy to talk to about minor modifications on the wedding day. She was so easy to work with, always responded right away, and had the best energy. She made my entire wedding party feel so beautiful and gave them exactly what they asked for! Jordan, April, Kirstin, and Nicole all did an amazing job for me, the bridesmaids, and moms! I felt so beautiful and confident on the big day and Jordan and April gave me the exact look I was hoping for. Everyone else was also extremely happy with their hair and makeup, making for the prettiest bridal party I have ever seen. Additionally, Ciarrah was so responsive throughout the whole process, which I was very appreciative of during the wedding planning process. I would highly recommend this team for any future bride.
