About Us:
Beyond The Mix was created and incorporated in 2013 by Co-Founders John Barrow and Douglas O’Mara. But the experience behind these two industry pros stems way back many years. John and Doug are close friends and colleagues from the New York Nightclub scene. Both having extensive backgrounds with private events and nightclubs, they’ve entertained and won over countless numbers of party crowds from the beaches of the Hamptons, to the bright lights of New York City.
Sharing similar visions and enthusiasm, John and Doug wanted to extend their talents by taking this passion a step further. The days of the cliché weddings are over……Beyond The Mix delivers the perfect balance of the modern and trendy atmosphere, with the classic elegance every bride and groom dream of.
Beyond The Mix only settles for perfection with first class production and entertainment. Our music selection goes way beyond the old standard, covering all formal ballads to the current, popular and cutting edge dance mixes produced by the industry’s most recognized and known DJs. In addition, our intelligent lighting, video and décor are all state of the art quality and also used by the tri-state areas hottest venues.

Hands down best Dj company around we had the best time at our wedding! We loved how we could personalize as much or as little as we wanted when it came to our music. John has a great personality and really gets the crowd going & Doug was on point with the music!

My experience with John, Doug and their crew was beyond what words can describe. To say they rocked my party is an understatement! Their professionalism, enthusiasm and love for what they do radiated throughout the night! John & Doug work flawlessly together and truly made our wedding unforgettable. My family and friends danced the night away. Everyone was impressed with the talent and energy our drummer and saxophone player had the entire night! I highly recommend Beyond The Mix!
