    Hands down best Dj company around we had the best time at our wedding! We loved how we could personalize as much or as little as we wanted when it came to our music. John has a great personality and really gets the crowd going & Doug was on point with the music!
    John went above and beyond the day of my wedding brought me a fan right as I was about to walk down the aisle (extremely hot that day) and helped cool me off
    I highly recommend this company
    They rocked, you won’t be disappointed! The music really makes a difference when it comes to your wedding!

    My experience with John, Doug and their crew was beyond what words can describe. To say they rocked my party is an understatement! Their professionalism, enthusiasm and love for what they do radiated throughout the night! John & Doug work flawlessly together and truly made our wedding unforgettable. My family and friends danced the night away. Everyone was impressed with the talent and energy our drummer and saxophone player had the entire night! I highly recommend Beyond The Mix!

    We have to say that Doug & John did an amazing job and we are so grateful for these guys.
    We received so many compliments on the DJ, music, and MC.
    The reception moved along flawlessly and they kept the place bumping!

    We'll keep dropping BTM's name for anyone else we know that is throwing an event in the tri-state.
    Can't thank these guys enough.

    I just recently got married on October 17th 2014 at Jericho Terrace and we went with Beyond The Mix as our DJ. As you know if you are in the process of planning a wedding there are so many choices and decisions that need to be made and I have to say if you book Beyond The Mix that will be the easiest and best decision you will make. No matter what type of vendor you are looking for photographer, florist, or even a venue, you will always be a little nervous that something may not be done the exact way you had planned it to be. Doug and John are extremely professional and have a ton of experience doing big events, and I have to say that everything we requested was done perfectly.

    From the beginning when we first sat down with Doug and John our experience was very pleasant. They are knowledgeable about their work and really help you put everything into place for your big day. At no point was I ever worried things wouldn't be perfect. We did the full package they offer with the Video Montage, and Zap Photographer. We were so thrilled with their work. The video montage turned out great and our guests absolutely loved it. Everyone that was at my party is still talking about how great our DJ was. I had several people say that Beyond The Mix was the best wedding DJ they have ever experienced, and I have to agree. Our guests were dancing the entire night and there was never a low point, guests packed out the dance floor.

    I would recommend Beyond the Mix to anyone as no other DJ could have made our night so great.

    As soon as I began planning our wedding I knew right away that I wanted Beyond the Mix to be there. Doug and John are so talented and have been in the industry for a long time. They understand what it takes to bring a party to the next level and that is exactly what they did! We seriously could not be any happier with them. These two are great to work with and so much fun. I communicated with John a lot about the music and what we we're looking for and he totally nailed it. When we sat down and picked out songs he was nothing but honest and helped us choose some songs that we may have not thought of. I really appreciate someones honesty like his. After picking out all the music of course Doug nailed it the day of! Between the both of these guys you really will not be disappointed, I promise you that!!!

    Beyond the Mix was recommended from a friend of mine who went to high school with Doug.

    We live in Hoboken, work in NYC, but were having the celebration on Long Island. Trying to organize a meeting was rendered fruitless life, work, and an unexpected trip to the emergency room. However, I was able to successfully quote, plan, and execute the contract without even having met Doug or John in person until the day of the event. Was I nervous about this? Of course! They were so cool and professional that in retrospect it's not even worth breaking a sweat about.

    The actual wedding ceremony took place two weeks prior to this celebration. We did not want to have so much of the formality attached to the usual wedding reception and make it feel more like a party - which is more like us anyway. Again, Beyond the Mix worked with us, we just said what we do and don't want from a MC/Music perspective, we gave them our playlist from our small reception upstate and they crafted a beautiful party flow all throughout the night.

    They even worked with me to customize some elements that other DJ's or companies would be offended or flat out say no to doing. And, they were both very good especially when we changed our minds on a few formalities that we wanted to add-in (entrance, speeches, etc.) which I think came off seamlessly (you always think you won't want to do it until the day of!)

    John and Doug were wonderful to work with, they listened when I described what I wanted to do and always provided constructive feedback or solutions. I don't think they ever said "no". We danced until the venue had to kick us out, they even had my grandfather and his 2 brothers (250+ years between the 3 of them) dancing as much as they possibly could!

    I would recommend them for any occasion, they certainly were flexible for our celebration.

    Weddings can be very stressful events however, John and Doug took all of that away immediately. They went above and beyond to make our day truly special. From the aerial photos to the crazy entertainment they provided it was an amazing event. My guests are still talking about the excellent time they shared with us that day. Doug did a perfect job of selecting the right music for our party and John had everyone dancing on chairs and tables. To say these guys are great is just a major understatement. They helped make this a perfect day for us and I'm so glad we got to share it with them. A huge thanks to John and Doug. Love you guys!!

    Beyond the Mix did an amazing job in all of the phases of our wedding. From our initial meeting, throughout the planning process, all the way to our wedding day, Doug and John were working hard to make the night special and everything we hoped it to be. They were there to help make our wedding unique and in the end it was truly "us." John and Doug work well together and their styles really compliment one another. We would highly recommend Beyond the Mix for your upcoming event!

    We can't express how thankful we are to BTM for the amazing job they did! John on the mic and Doug on the decks brought non stop energy all night! They incorporated all the songs we requested at all the right times! They kept the dance floor packed and our guest were having a blast! We received multiple comments on what a great job they did.     I would highly recommend BTM to everyone! John and Doug did such an amazing job! Planning the greatest night of your life can be an overwhelming task, but John was professional and walked us through everything step by step. We had guests from young to old commenting on how great out entertainment crew was for weeks after the wedding. The dance floor was packed the whole night and John even got my hubby to sing a little tune to me…adding another special moment in our big day.

    My husband and I finally had our dream wedding on the 19th of July 2014 - and everything was much more than I ever wished for!

    Before the wedding, one of my biggest fears was that I'd become a bridezilla who is too stressed out about every single detail. So for the most part, I wanted DJ who could put together a playlist without me having to pick out every single song for the ceremony since we had enough things to worry about on our plate for the wedding.

    Our DJ John met with us before the wedding and we told him what type of genres we'd like at the wedding, what we really didn't want on the playlist along with must-have songs.
    Thankfully, John understood what type of music rocks our boat & put together a fun playlist that had guests on fire on the dance floor.

    For a couple like us who wanted the DJ to deal with the music while we focus on, well, my hair, Beyond The Mix's flexible service was perfect.

    Oh, and we didn't really have an announcer at the wedding, but John did a great job in asking the quests to join the dance floor and helped us move the party along.

    Whether you want to make sure you're in control of every song that's going to be played at the wedding or you just want someone to ensure a stress-free musical occasion, I recommend Beyond The Mix!

    Doug did an absolutely excellent job of reading us and the crowd and formulated the perfect playlist. He did everything we asked for and knew even things that we didn't know we wanted. It was so perfect and amazing!!!

    Incredible. Thats the only word to describe the guys at Beyond The Mix. Mc John was awesome, he was entertaining, energetic, and kept the dance floor packed all night while Dj Doug played one great song after another. It was such a great time i didn't want it to end. I have and will continue to recommend Beyond The Mix to anyone in need of wedding entertainment. They are the best in the business. Thanks again guys.

    One of the greatest experiences we had on our special day was having John and Doug as our DJ and MC. The 2 are energetic, fun and a pleasure to work with. They made our wedding even more special and helped our guests enjoy the day as much as we did. THey were accommodating in every way and and willing to change or do anything to make our experience superb. I highly recommend this company!

    Everyone raved that our wedding was the best wedding ever! Guests won't remember what they ate or what flowers were on the table....they remember the experience and the time they had! Beyond The Mix created an infectious energy and almost a year later people are still talking about my wedding. Thank you BTM!!!!
