Mick was our DJ for our wedding on April 25, 2015. All I can say is WOW! We shopped around quite a bit before finding Mick and his team. My husband and I were shocked at what so many DJs charge for their services. Mick's price quote almost seemed too good to be true. We met with them briefly before retaining their services and we were instantly impressed with their personalities, professionalism and humor! Mick did a phenomenal job from start to finish! He and Jay were on time, set up everything we needed for both the ceremony and reception and most importantly, they were fantastic at getting our guests up and out of their seats! I had about maybe 10 "must play" songs and the rest I left up to Mick. He did such a fantastic job at reading the crowd and picking songs we all would enjoy, and he made sure to weave some humorous remarks throughout the evening. I would HIGHLY recommend Mick and Better Music Services for all your DJ/Sound needs! You won't regret it!

Mick at Better Music Services is amazing! When I emailed them to inquire about rates, he was the only one of several DJs that I contacted who actually called up my venue to see what my wedding was going to be like and how he could best entertain at it. Also, Better Music Services was the only DJ service I found that gave me both a DJ and an emcee, and the best emcee at that! His prices are very reasonable for the high quality services that he and his team provide. Uplighting is included which provided a beautiful atmosphere for the wedding. I gave Mick very little input on what we needed music-wise, just a list of the important songs to play along with some of the artists that we like to give him an idea of our musical taste. He took it from there, and everybody loved everything! His selections fit us and our party perfectly with very little direction. Throughout the wedding reception, he kept checking in with us and making sure that we were ready to do toasts, cut cake, ect. He would tell us what was going to happen next and who would speak in what order. He expertly was able to judge the room and help direct the flow of the evening perfectly. The high level of service was a big part of our amazing wedding reception. I would recommend all brides use Better Music Services for their big day!

I was very impressed with the services provided by Better Music. Mick was very quick to respond to my emails/phone calls and so flexible when I needed to make changes. He and Peter really made sure my guests had a blast on the dance floor! He also provided my lighting, which turned out beautiful. Mick was so great at making sure this was a special day for us! I loved that he keeps up with today's technology in providing wireless microphones, and contacted other vendors he needed to work with to ensure that our day was flawless. For our wedding we recently had Better Music Services serve as our DJ's. They were a pleasure to deal with, as we were running around trying to deal with all of our vendors and our venue. Mick and Peter met us well before our wedding to go over basic ground rules of likes and dislikes. This was incredibly helpful for both of us as we were able to plan for our speed of wedding. In the months leading up to the wedding we slowly built a running spreadsheet of music that match the styles/cultures of myself (Persian) and my Husband (American/Hispanic). We also laid out for them the music for our ceremony. The whole experience working with Mick and Peter was great as Mick served as the MC of the event and balanced perfectly the amount and length of announcements as well as following the vibe of our wedding and its guests. The ultimate compliment that I could give Better Music Services is that throughout our wedding they were able to keep everyone on the dance floor and go back and forth between Persian music and more traditional American/Pop music. This led to an unforgettable night that not only we will treasure forever, but all of our guests as well!

If not for Mick and Peter, my guests would not have been able to hear my wedding ceremony! The ceremony was at 4, and Mick & Peter were supposed to start at 6. I am so glad that they were there very early to set up, because the microphone we were going to use in the ceremony was awful (that's what I get for asking a friend to bring one instead of paying to rent one). Thankfully, Mick was there to loan us his. This alone warrants a 5-star rating in my book, but it gets better. The music was awesome - they really brought the house down! My guests were up and dancing all night long. Mick really knows how to read a crowd and play music that keeps people entertained. I was having so much fun that I almost forgot about the cake cutting ceremony. Thankfully, Mick reminded us. Many of my guests said it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding, and Mich & Peter were a huge part of that. Also, Mick was very easy to work with. We exchanged many emails before the big day, and he answered all of my questions without making me feel like I was being a Bridezilla. His prices are competitive and worth every penny. I recommend them highly!

Finding a DJ was a piece of cake with Mick. Mick was willing to work with us overseas, with our budget and was incredibly patient (planning a wedding overseas, I was very scattered!)! He was willing to work with our schedule and little requests and even helped shape some of the schedule where I had missed things. He gave great suggestions and was very helpful!!! He also handled last minute changes with ease.

Everyone commented on how he had the perfect playlist for our group (german, english, irish and americans!) and all ages. Everyone from 5 to 90 was dancing. We had a small wedding so I was worried the dance floor would look bear and Mick did a great job of gauging the mood and changing the music to get people moving. He kept us on schedule and having fun.

It was a joy talking to Mick during the wedding and after, he was so much fun.

Everyone says that finding a DJ for your wedding is the hardest thing to do and it couldn’t be truer. From the start, I knew that the DJ was going to be the most important part of our reception. I must have contacted over 20 DJs and filtered them out after emails and face to face meetings. Most were too corny or too pushy.

Even though I only had around 60 guests, the dance floor was never empty. Everyone from my 2 year old niece to my 84 year old great aunt made it on the dance floor! The music was at the perfect volume so people could still speak to each other without having to shout. Mick also had to cater to a Mexican, American and English crowd which he did flawlessly.

Whenever I speak to someone who was at my wedding, they always comment on how amazing our DJ was. I was at a wedding in London and a guest that was at my wedding said ‘I still can’t stop raving about your DJ.’ The fact that my wedding was 3 months ago and our guests are still talking about him, says a lot!

Mick was an awesome DJ at my wedding at Il Cielo. I had never met Mick in person until my actually wedding as my husband and I live outside of the country, but honestly he was so great there was no need. Planning a wedding from afar was difficult, but Mick was so great on our phone calls and he played the exact type of music my husband and I asked for and more. He took requests from the guests and played great music from the start to finish that the dance floor was full even before dinner was served. Mick isn't the cheesy DJ at all, he doesn't take over the show with jokes and cheesy dance songs, but he stays quite hidden so people don't even see him. My guests kept commenting how great my DJ was, and I would honestly use him again and recommend him to anyone.

Mick was great. He even suggested a great instrumental version of In My Life to use for my processional music during the ceremony. He and his assistant kept things moving and kept the dance floor full all night. His pricing is reasonable too. I would recommend.
