I have so many good things to say about Betsy & John Photography, its gonna be hard to keep this succinct. My husband and I worked directly with Betsy. Betsy is a gem of a human being; she is lovely, kind, thoughtful, professional, well-informed, sensitive to your needs, and has an excellent eye. When I first reached out to her and told her my concerns about lighting, she listened and made suggestions. In her professional capacity, she asked for pictures we like of ourselves so she can see the type of pictures we prefer and our style, and she also went to the wedding venue beforehand to scope out nice photography areas. How great is that? She knew exactly where all the cool shots would be before we even started shooting. It saved a lot of time!
She was patient with the wedding chaos and directed our wedding party and the families appropriately to get a beautiful variety of shots. She was not intrusive during the wedding ceremony, and made sure to capture the moments where people pose and the impromptu moments as well. Everyone raved over the wedding photos, and I think its the best I've ever looked in my life! We look as good as we felt that day!
My husband and I will cherish these pictures for years to come. Betsy was able to capture our most joyful moments and as my husband said to me after we got the photos, "I'm beyond happy!" Booking Betsy & John is worth every single penny. You won't regret it, believe me.

Betsy & John did an amazing job perfectly capturing our special day! Not only are they brilliant in their craft, but they are also the absolute sweetest people to work with with! We really enjoyed having them by our sides the whole day, capturing every moment. They were so thoughtful and fun every step of the way (even leading up to the wedding), and we were so amazed by how flexible and responsive they were. For example, we were debating the popular first look photos, and they really guided us in our decision by answering our questions honestly and patiently, while never adding any pressure or making us feel uncomfortable. They also went above and beyond on the wedding to day to get every single shot that we asked for! :) We were absolutely blown away with the final photos, and we have received so many compliments on them already!! Hands down, they are incredible all the way around!

What’s not visible in photos, are the people behind the camera. Betsy and John are absolutely incredible people and were a joy to spend time with during engagement photos and on our wedding day. They take the time to get to know you as a couple and understand your vision for your special day. Betsy does a wonderful job directing to where the poses feel natural, making the front-of-the-camera experience enjoyable. John does a great job capturing the more candid moments from a distance. You’ll notice that couples look very at-ease in their photos, which indicates how Betsy and John make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Together they make a perfect team and we highly recommend them for your wedding!

I can’t say enough good things about Betsy & John! We immediately connected with them, and knew our photos would be perfect. They traveled to Sonoita with us for some different engagement photos, planned everything out for the wedding perfectly, and were just all around amazing. They’re professional yet comfortable to be around. My husband and I are both uncomfortable in photos and they made us feel so calm. They’re amazing and our photos are perfect! Book them now!!

There are honestly not enough words to express how much we love Betsy and John, not only as photographers but as people. Some of the best advice I received when wedding planning was to make sure you liked and felt comfortable with your photographer: It only took one phone call with Betsy and John to know that they were "our people." We instantly connected.

Living in New York we thought we would need to forego engagement photos, but Betsy and John brought up the possibility of coming to us and we are eternally grateful they were game to take off a September weekend and come visit the Big Apple! We had the best weekend hanging out and showing them a few of our favorite spots, and (in my biased opinion) our engagement photos are stunning. Every time we look at them we are blown away by Betsy and John's ability to capture us, our love, plus the city we love! They put us at such ease during the shoots--it was easy to trust them and feel comfortable following Betsy's amazing direction to make sure we looked our best :)

Betsy and John were AMAZING photographers for our wedding! Our wedding planner recommended them and we are so happy we picked them. The engagement shoot was so fun, and Betsy and John were so easy to work with. The pictures are so perfect! They did a fantastic job on our wedding photos. Betsy and John are the photographers that you dream of finding for your wedding. From the moment you meet them, their love of love and their passion for capturing your day perfectly are immediately felt. For most people, having your picture taken can seem awkward and these two are so warm and inviting that the awkwardness melts away. They use light beautifully in their work and truly capture the emotions of the day. The photos were at the top of list as one of the most important things on my wedding day and with using Betsy and John I am not disappointed. Betsy & John are the BEST! They are a husband/wife duo and I am so honored they shot our wedding! We recently got married in March 2017. Betsy & John really care about their work. Obviously, their business is their livelihood, but it is so much more! They are passionate about their work and their couples. My husband and I felt so comfortable in front of their cameras. We were also able to do an engagement shoot before our wedding which I really enjoyed, because Betsy & John were able to get to know us before the big day.
