John did such an amazing job for me and my husband’s elopement. John is super personable, very creative, warm, and just a joy to work with. My father is also terminal, and John made concessions to change the time of a second family photoshoot for our elopement weekend, even with his filled schedule. I am very pleased with the pictures from the elopement, as well as the family portraits. With My family of 13 total, John had a multitude of candid beautiful pictures. That’s not easy to do! The entire process felt very organic with John. He encourages and prompts you for the best candid photos. Some of the photos captured, have been described by friends as: they have been able to feel the pure joy and raw emotion from the pictures. He has a gift of creativity, a calm spirit, and is truly a joy to know and work with. Thank you, John!

John Kurc is without a doubt the most talented photographer I have ever worked with. I first met him at a dear friend's wedding. My adult children were both in the wedding party. It was an outdoor service at sunset with a beautiful Christmas theme in a barn. I was blown away with the amazing lighting and composition of both the outdoor and indoor photographs. I have used John for every event I have been associated with since. These are large events that include formal photos and candids. He captures the personalities of his subjects (including me) so well. He is so professional and does his research prior to the events. John seems to be everywhere in the venues large and small without being intrusive at all. Several of his photographs of me and my children hang in my home as art pieces in large format. I would highly recommend John Kurc for any wedding or event as the premier photographer in the Charleston area and beyond. We prefer Black and Whites but his color work is wonderful as well.
