We first met The Benefactor Events Group at the Frederick Wedding Show back in 2023. They had the best live mixes and song selections at the event and their vibe was just on point. My husband is very much an introvert, but when we stopped at their booth, he and the MC instantly connected. They were laughing, talking, and getting to know each other, and in that moment I knew this was going to be our DJ team for the wedding.
The week of the wedding, we met with the DJ, the MC, and the owner to go over our timeline and all the final details. They were so thorough and detail oriented, which I really appreciated because those last-minute things can be stressful. They made the process easy and helped us feel prepared.
On the wedding day, they completely brought our reception to life. The dance floor was never empty. Guests told us that every time they tried to take a break, another great song came on and they had to stay and dance. The music was the perfect mix of nostalgic songs, Afrobeats, Latin music, and crowd favorites. They even played traditional cultural songs that our elders loved and made sure everything was appropriate for the kids while still keeping the energy up.
What really stood out to me was how thoughtful they were about the experience. They asked about our guest demographics and the type of people coming to our wedding so they could tailor the music perfectly. And they absolutely delivered. Even during our last dance, people were still on the dance floor hoping the party would keep going.

Benefactor was so easy to work with - they send you a website to help you assist in planning your playlists for both the reception and the wedding itself. DJ Josh was the life of the party - we had a fairly small wedding but everyone had a great time and was dancing by the end of the night.

Benefactor Events, and specifically John and Asa were the DJs for my wedding, and they did a phenomenal job. In the lead up to the event, they had a very handy website with simple "homework" on it for us to complete, which made it easy for us to provide all the music details we needed for both the ceremony and reception, as well as to create our dance playlist. The week of the wedding, we had a helpful final consult to go over everything and discuss do's and don'ts. Then on the day of the wedding, they just absolutely killed it! Not only did they play all the right songs at the right time, John and Asa absolutely knew how to read and work the crowd, and Asa was even on the dance floor at various times, guiding the opening line dances or just belting it out with us on popular songs. Their energy and vibe were just fantastic and numerous guests told us afterwards that our DJs were amazing. We wanted to make sure our wedding was fun and full of dancing and John and Asa absolutely made sure that was the case. We could not be happier with them and Benefactor Events, as our wedding DJs! We would highly recommend them and if we ever need DJs again for another event, we would absolutely go back to them!

Our Benefactor team did a great job. They had all the music we wanted on deck, took requests that made sense, ignored outlandish requests (like our friend asking to sing us a song we didnt know about), and matched our vibe perfectly! They weren't cheesy but still fun. Thanks Benefactor team!

Jarad was fantastic and really helped make our wedding so fun and inviting. He consistently read our wedding crowd right and adjusted to the mood, while also making sure he played all our requested songs. He was the best hype man without being intrusive, which was most important to us. Jarad is also just a wonderful human being, and I immediately felt comfortable around him - he got us as a couple and made sure the tunes and energy of our wedding reception matched that.
