For an outdoor ceremony, the Boxwood Garden offers carefully manicured landscapes as a backdrop for couples to exchange their vows. With a concrete path and built-in stone benches, this space can hold up to 200 friends and family. For a covered outdoor reception on the grounds, the staff can supply a tent to protect attendants from inclement weather. The estate’s Carriage House offers an adaptable space for indoor ceremonies and receptions. With an outdoor games court and cocktail area, couples and their guests can enjoy a beverage while playing bocce ball, horseshoes, corn hole, or croquet. On-site get-ready rooms provide a space for the wedding party to prepare before the celebrations.
Services Offered
This venue offers a range of event services for couples planning their wedding. Reception tables, cocktail tables, and chairs are available for up to 200 guests. Their attentive staff is happy to manage the setup and cleanup of events. Couples are welcome to provide their own vendors for catering, floral arrangements, photography, entertainment, and wedding cakes. When booking an event at this location, they can allow year-round access to the estate so that couples can easily coordinate details with their vendors. To ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day of the event, their venue supervisor can be present throughout the entire day. For guests driving to the celebration, there is plenty of on-site parking available.
Location
The property is located just 8 miles southwest of downtown Nashville. For traveling guests, Nashville International Airport is about 14 miles northeast of the venue. Guests can explore a variety of nearby attractions, including the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and the Grand Ole Opry.
Our original wedding date was June 12th with ~ 200 guests, thanks to COVID are original plans eventually for scratched and we ended up postponing until August 7. Throughout the whole process, Linda and the rest of the Belle Meade Plantation crew, worked around the clock to provide my family and I the most wonderful, magical experience. In the end we opted to have a small, intimate family wedding and reception at our dream venue. I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world.

Beautiful Venue
We held our ceremony at the boxwood garden and reception in the stables/carriage house. The garden was lush and green and we had the dinner in the stables with one long table and string lighting. Our guests gushed over the beauty of the grounds and said they’ve always wanted to attend a wedding with one long table! I am so excited to see our photos because the lighting and backdrops were picture perfect. Our wedding planner did most of the coordinating with the vendor but our direct conversations with Linda, from Belle Meade, were great. She was timely and answered all of our questions.

Best Wedding Venue EVER!!
We had our wedding here 5.4.19 and it was amazing. It did rain the day of the ceremony but they already have a tent set up for a backup plan day of! Everyone still tells me that it’s the most beautiful venues they have ever attended. I could not be any happier and pleased with my decision to have our wedding here. The pictures are beautiful from just the plants already onsite! One of the best parts of Belle Meade Plantation is they let you pick your own vendors from food, alcohol, catering and florist! I would recommend everyone to have their event here!
