From the first day I toured Belle Meade, I fell in love! The venue itself is so gorgeous--my husband and I (and the guests!) loved how much character it had, and moving around throughout the day gives you such a unique experience. Bringing in your own vendors with such a beautiful venue makes it so easy to create whatever you envision for your wedding day. Hannah was so kind, helpful, and responsive throughout the whole wedding planning process. We also loved that it had such a quiet and peaceful feel without being too far from the city! We would choose this venue again and again!!! -

I can't say enough great things about our choosing Belle Meade as the wedding venue. It was honestly the best decision of the entire process since everything else flowed from that decision. I am from Louisville KY where horses are king and learning that most Derby winners can trace their roots to Belle Meade made me so happy that we ultimately we brought in that aspect to the decor. And most importantly the bride and groom and both families had a night together we will never forget. it all feels like a dream now. I so wish we could experience it all over again!

The wedding of my dreams
Tell me exceeded my expectations for what I wanted in my wedding to be. We got married April 18th and we had an awesome photographer, but every scene is straight out from a magazine. The lighting and scenery were so dreamy. Our ceremony started at 5:30 and our sendoff was at 9:30 and it turned out perfect. Our ceremony was in the gardens, we did a private footwashing on the porch of the mansion, and did bride and groom portraits with the horses in the background. Hannah was so sweet, helpful, and accommodating which is so crucial during planning and the day of (after was just cherry on top). Hannah was our main contact however everyone that was involved with the staff were hard-working and friendly. They do so many events and weddings every year, but they made me feel like I was their only client. I also had amazing coordinators with EBJ & Company who made the experience (feel) seamless - they know the ins and outs of the venue and work hand-in-hand with Hannah on her team. Highly recommend 10 out of 10!!! -

We had our wedding reception at Belle Meade Historic Site and Winery and wouldn't change a thing! Hannah was so helpful during the planning process, the day ran so smoothly, and the venue couldn't be more beautiful! Would definitely recommend! -

Loved this Venue!
The Belle Meade was incredible easy to work with. Hannah, the venue coordinator, was timely with her responses, and answered every question we had. We were able to come back to the venue to meet with vendors and you could even do a photoshoot on the property. The Belle Meade was also very accommodating and worked with us to ensure our day ran as smoothly as possible. The venue came with tables. cocktail tables, and chairs which allowed us to cut out an extra vendor. The ceremony space was absolutely stunning on its own, and is what sold the venue to us in the first place. Truly, you could show up with no florals or decor and it would still be perfect! There was a place for the bridesmaids to get dressed and for the bride to be tucked away while guests showed up, and the groom's quarters were a big hit among our wedding party and even guests! We had 0 issues with our vendors, the Belle Meade was extremely organized, and their preferred vendors (lighting/draping) have definitely done this before. Our day was perfect, and everyone had a fabulous time. My absolute favorite part of this venue were the unlimited photo opportunities that were all equally stunning, historic, and unique. Thank you, Belle Meade! -

We feel so lucky to have gotten married at Belle Meade Mansion — one of the most beautiful and meaningful venues in Nashville. The property is full of timeless charm and historic character, with gorgeous grounds and corners that feel both elegant and warm. There’s just something special about being surrounded by so much history while starting your own.
For the value, you won’t find a better space. It felt like we got a dream venue without the price tag that usually comes with a place this large/stunning.
The team was amazing throughout the planning process — so helpful and easy to work with. And Hannah, our venue planner, was an absolute gem. She was communicative, kind, and on top of every detail. She made the whole experience feel easy and supported, which is such a gift during wedding planning.
If you're looking for a place with beauty, heart, and history — Belle Meade is it. We couldn’t have imagined a better setting to begin our marriage. -

We originally fell in love with Belle Meade Historic Site through their pictures online, and it definitely holds up in person. The ceremony area was so simple, natural, and beautiful. We loved that there were areas for all parts of the wedding and rain plan options that would feel just as special and not like an afterthought.
Hannah was so easy to work with and responsive. She was very patient with all of our questions and always had a solution to our "what have other people done with..." questions.
The tent was perfect for dinner, and it was very helpful that the tables and chairs came with the venue rental. Everything was set up and ready to go with more than enough time to spare.
The stable was a nice cool spot for cocktail hour and a convenient spot for our rented bar.
The carriage house seamlessly hosted our dance floor, and everyone appreciated the air conditioning.
It was very convenient to be able to use the grounds for our engagement photos. There were so many gorgeous options for photo locations for our engagement pictures as well as on our wedding day.
Parking was plentiful. The location within Nashville was very convenient for our guests.
We were very happy with our decision to get married Belle Meade Historic Site! -

We recently had our wedding at Belle Meade Historic Site and Winery, and it was nothing short of magical! From the moment we stepped onto the property, we knew it was the perfect place to celebrate our special day.
The venue is stunning, with a beautiful mansion and gardens which provided ideal backdrops for our ceremony and photos. The staff was incredibly accommodating and ensured everything ran smoothly. They were attentive, friendly, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. I cannot say enough about Hannah, and the relationship she has with her clients. We felt heard and understood during every interaction we had with her and could not ask for a better person to work with for such a special occasion.
The setup was seamless, and the ambiance was exactly what we envisioned. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful everything was.
We are so grateful to the entire team at Belle Meade Historic Site and Winery for helping us create such wonderful memories. If you're looking for a breathtaking venue with exceptional service, look no further. We highly recommend Belle Meade Historic Site and Winery for your special day! -

The perfect wedding!
Such a beautiful venue with lots of options. I was overwhelmed at first by the idea of using a blank space but with the help of a wedding planner, it all came together. We got so many compliments on how beautiful the ceremony was. This is definitely a unique venue that will make your day special. -

Our original wedding date was June 12th with ~ 200 guests, thanks to COVID are original plans eventually for scratched and we ended up postponing until August 7. Throughout the whole process, Linda and the rest of the Belle Meade Plantation crew, worked around the clock to provide my family and I the most wonderful, magical experience. In the end we opted to have a small, intimate family wedding and reception at our dream venue. I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world.Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery's reply:

We had our wedding here 5.4.19 and it was amazing. It did rain the day of the ceremony but they already have a tent set up for a backup plan day of! Everyone still tells me that it’s the most beautiful venues they have ever attended. I could not be any happier and pleased with my decision to have our wedding here. The pictures are beautiful from just the plants already onsite! One of the best parts of Belle Meade Plantation is they let you pick your own vendors from food, alcohol, catering and florist! Sarah Sent on 06/18/2018Belle Meade Plantation was the most amazing place to have a wedding!! The whole team was amazing and made sure everything came together. That week we received we had snow and rain in TN and they waited till the day off to make any decisions on set up and they answered countless emails that I had. If you are thinking about booking here do it now you won't regret it!

Sarah Sent on 06/20/2013We LOVED our wedding at Belle Meade Plantation!! We got married on Memorial Day Monday which is why this review definitely gets 5 stars for value. I had my heart set on this venue and doing the wedding on a Monday made it completely fit in our budget. We used the grounds for all of our wedding party photos before the ceremony. I also loved that because the carriage house itself is so great, you don't have to go crazy on decorations and other stuff. So, so many of our friends and family told me it was the coolest venue they'd ever seen for a wedding and that it was so representative of us as a couple. Linda is amazing to work with and I also highly recommend using the on-site caterer, Harding House, which also has Kasey, our rockstar wedding planner, and also the most amazing fried chicken ever :)Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery's reply:

This was such a wonderful venue - we have no regrets about choosing it! We heard from so many guests about how beautiful they thought it was. A lot of that was just inherent to the site. Our wedding photos are gorgeous, and we had so many different settings. Between all the different locations on the property, we felt like we had SO MUCH venue available.
Hannah was really responsive and very easy to work with. We wanted a venue that didn't have a lot of vendor restrictions so that we could pick our own, and Belle Meade was a good choice for that. I also liked that they had indoor options as a rain backup, but the outdoor ceremony site was my favorite part and one of the main reasons we chose this spot. We got married in April so it was a little chilly, but fortunately we didn't need a rain plan!
The only thing that made it a little challenging was not being able to start setting up until just a few hours before the ceremony, although it's completely understandable why this is the case. We knew that upfront and were able to make it work, but it took more advance planning and coordination, since our friends and family were the ones doing the setup. -

The venue is gorgeous and has multiple areas for different segments of a reception and Wedding. It truly looks like something off of a movie set in the summer. I would highly recommend it. Hannah was very sweet and helpful throughout the process as well. -

Belle Meade was an incredible venue! It was a perfect balance of garden and estate aesthetic, the grounds are absolutely stunning! Hannah and team were so easy to work with during the planning process. They were helpful, responsive, and kind. They always provided any information we needed and were great hosts!
Due to being an operating historical site, Belle Meade does have several rules that limit the flexibility of what you can do for your wedding day. However, we were willing to look past these things because we cared more about the aesthetic and overall experience of the venue. We are so grateful we chose Belle Meade and that it was the foundation of our wedding experience! They were so easy and kind! We also love that we can go back to visit where we got married because it’s open to the public! -

No other place like it.
Belle Meade is such a unique and gorgeous venue! The newly redone ceremony grounds in particular are stunning, and my husband and I loved that we could transition right from the ceremony into cocktail hour and maximize party time. Lots of different zones where guests can congregate, too (both inside and outside). Another bonus for us was having the flexibility to choose our own vendors rather than an all-inclusive situation. The Belle Meade team also worked with us throughout a very tough situation with COVID, allowing us to postpone our event twice at no additional cost.
Only cons of the venue in my view to be aware of: the winery on the property is open until 5 p.m., which meant there were visitors milling around while my photographer and I were taking photos. The bridal suite is also quite small - more of a staging area than a "getting ready" suite - and the one A/C unit in the room couldn't quite keep up with the August heat. Overall, though, very satisfied with our experience.Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery's reply:
