I cannot recommend Olay enough. She is an absolute professional and an expert! I booked Olay about a month or two before the wedding—after receiving advice that I should have a wedding hair stylist (rather than my normal stylist). If you are Type A like me and have limited time, you can stop your research here. Book Olay!

Despite the heat, my hair held beautifully all day and night. My curls never dropped, never frizzed, and still looked incredible the next day. That alone speaks volumes about her experience. She worked seamlessly with my makeup artist. She also helped with touch-ups throughout the day and framing my hair for the photos. Beyond the results, her calm, confident presence made the morning so much smoother. I felt listed to, and cared for, and completely confident that my hair was in the best possible hands.
From our initial consultation, I could tell that Olay had so much expertise. I showed her pictures of what I wanted for the wedding day, and she was able to point out differences between them (some were Hollywood curls, some had looser curls, etc.). She worked with the look that I wanted. I like the look of a side part, but my hairline is not there yet. During the trial when she installed clip-ins, Olay was able to show me how the hair would look with each different part. And while I loved the look that she did during the trial (and my hair was beautiful so much so that I kept those clip-ins in for some time), I decided to go with a different style for the wedding that I felt more comfortable in.

Olay was also well-versed with all the hair extension companies, and how the hair would hold up with the heat. I wanted Heat Free Hair in particular, but the wig I purchased did not look right once installed by another stylist. Two weeks before the wedding, I made the decision to purchase bundles from Heat Free Hair so the install would look more natural. After several bad experiences with stylists in the DMV, I only go to my normal stylist in Philly for a weave, so I was very nervous about getting a weave installed. When I tell you—my hair looked fantastic and was flat! Even though the hair was high maintenance (For Kurls), Olay was able to straighten it. In addition, she was thoughtful in how she installed the weave (to make sure it framed my face correctly).

Separately, it was also important to me that Olay was very responsive, organized, professional, and friendly. When reaching out to other stylists, I found this was often not the case.

And after the wedding, I went to Olay for a weave maintenance, and I’ve never had such a thorough maintenance experience. It was completed by her assistant, Quianna. Usually, stylists will avoid getting the braids wet, or will put minimal shampoo and conditioner. I think my shampoo experience was at least 45 minutes.

Also, when I removed the hair, my braid down was so moisturized. Usually, it is dry, and I lose hair, especially around the anchor braid. I believe Olay uses a different method (beehive), which helped me keep the hair growth I achieved. I am now booking her for my hair going forward!
