Jacquelyn is not only exceptional at her craft, but more importantly she is THE person you want in your corner during the entire wedding process. I used her for both my bridal makeup, as well as for emotional support sessions. I couldn't recommend her more for both!

Makeup-wise, she is so intentional about focusing on how you FEEL, not just the end result of how you look. She makes sure to emphasize YOU throughout the entire process, reiterating that anything can be changed at any time. Jacquelyn is gentle, encouraging, and uplifting throughout the entire application process, and will be your number one hype woman throughout. On wedding day, she'll be there to teach you how to cry properly (a very important piece for my day), and she even helped out with odds and ends between my application and my moms to make the day go smoother. She (along with the makeup that she applied) made me feel so confident and glamorous, but still authentic. I never felt like I was in a costume, but rather that my natural beauty was enhanced. She also did my mom's makeup, and my mom was so pleased by everything Jacquelyn did, but even more so with who she is.

The emotional support sessions are something so unique to the wedding world, but so needed! We focused on my communication style throughout the wedding process, as well as how to navigate fears, worries, tough relationships, and new feelings that come with the territory of planning and experiencing a wedding. It was so nice to have someone to listen as an unbiased third party, as well as offer suggestions and tips on how to navigate big feelings, conversations, and stressors. There were feelings and worries that came up during the planning process that I could not have anticipated, and having someone as seasoned as Jacquelyn understand my feelings, validate them, and work through solutions with me made the day even more flawless. I was the calmest I'd been throughout the entire wedding planning process on my wedding day, and so much of that is thanks to her.

Jacquelyn did makeup for myself, 4 bridesmaids, groomswoman, and my mom and she absolutely nailed it! She did a great job of personalizing each look for all 7 of us and made sure we were comfortable with each part of the process. Everyone looked absolutely gorgeous and I LOVED my makeup! Jacquelyn is the most amazing makeup artist I have ever had! I would HIGHLY recommend her to everyone to have her be part of your celebration. I used her for my wedding on August 20th, and she made me look and feel the most beautiful I have ever felt. My makeup looked AMAZING and I got soooo many compliments on it. One of the most amazing parts of working with Jacquelyn at First Looks LLC is that she is also a counselor, and for the bridal packages she provides a 30 minute session with you that I used the week of the wedding to help me relax and and mentally and emotionally prepare for the big day. I can't say enough about how amazing Jacquelyn did with my makeup for my wedding! I wear almost no makeup normally and she walked me through the whole process. She is so knowledgeable with her work and it was so enjoyable to learn about what she was doing as she was doing it. Her passion for enhancing the beauty you already have inside and out was evident throughout the whole day. I loved the final look of my face as well as everyone in the wedding party!
Makeup aside, she was a joyfu and grounding advocate that I didn't know I needed. When my nerves were the highest they had been all morning, she made sure to take a few minutes to guide me through a meditation. I also am forever grateful that she caught the first look moment with my dad that still brings tears to my eyes every time I think of it!

J was an amazing makeup artist! She was professional and reliable. During the time leading up to my wedding J was not only my makeup artist but my coach. She offered emotional support and sessions to listen and guide me to feel ready and calm for the wedding and marriage. I ended up learning a lot about myself and found how much I really do love myself in talking through my worries with her. She made me feel calm and relaxed while also being BEST hype girl! Her makeup skills were flawless!! She made me look like and feel like a princess.

Jacquelyn is so much more than a make-up artist. She is so kind, thoughtful and gentle during the make-up process. I felt like I knew her for years and we were meeting for the first time.
