Everyone we worked with was awesome! There was incredible communication and flexibility. I'm so happy I found Barbara! I was struggling to find someone to do hair & makeup for my wedding when my boss told me I should reach out to Barbara. My boss doesn't mince words, so I knew I would be in good hands before I even talked to her, and I was right. As soon as I called her, she had put my wedding on her calendar and hashed out some logistics with me.

Then once I got to my hair and makeup trials, she played around with some styles and perfected my look. I had no worries about my hair and makeup the day of the wedding. The day of she showed up a few minutes early and then knocked it out of the park. My look felt like me but amplified like I wanted. Barbara has been cutting and styling my hair for many years, so I was well aware that she does hair and makeup for special events, from weddings to televised extravaganzas. For my older daughter’s wedding, she came to the bridal suite at our hotel and did hair and makeup for both of my daughters and me. The hairstyles were beautiful and stayed beautiful through a long, humid day; our makeup also looked great all day and made us look fabulous for photography. I was particularly pleased because I normally wear very little makeup (and the bride typically wears no makeup), so we wanted to look and feel “special” and photograph well without looking wildly different from our usual selves. Barbara got that balance just right for us. It was wonderful to have Barbara come to us rather than us having to make a trip to a salon. Not only was it a much calmer, more convenient experience, but we also avoided exposing my highly allergic daughter (the bride) to many of the allergens and fragrances that would have been virtually unavoidable in a salon setting. I've known Barbara for as long as I can remember—she's done my hair for many occasions and has been my mom's stylist for years—so there was no question that I would have Beauty At Your Door for my wedding day! Barbara is so fun and easy to work with, and keeps you smiling all through the process. For my hair trial, she was willing to try not one, not two, but four different styles until I was happy with a final decision! And on the wedding day, she amped up the style even more with beautiful touches. She and her team had a lot of heads to cover, and even with 14 people to style they were ahead of schedule throughout the day! Barbara also stayed through pre-ceremony photos to do touch ups on everyone, including family members who weren't part of the original plan!
