  Hire Beauty at Your Door! You won't be sorry!

  I'm so happy I found Barbara! I was struggling to find someone to do hair & makeup for my wedding when my boss told me I should reach out to Barbara. My boss doesn't mince words, so I knew I would be in good hands before I even talked to her, and I was right. As soon as I called her, she had put my wedding on her calendar and hashed out some logistics with me.
  
  Then once I got to my hair and makeup trials, she played around with some styles and perfected my look. I had no worries about my hair and makeup the day of the wedding. The day of she showed up a few minutes early and then knocked it out of the park. My look felt like me but amplified like I wanted. She also brought a talented makeup artist (Kim) to do everyone else's makeup. Also, Barbara is just a fun person and made the hair/makeup process such a great experience! You won't be disappointed if you hire her.

  Barbara is the best!

  Barbara and her team did hair and makeup for my wedding party and they were amazing. Not only did we look great, they were so easy to work with and made the day less stressful. Barbara even made sure to stick around for touch ups after the wedding started. I really appreciate how she looked out for me and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any bride to be.

  Barbara exceeded my expectations in all areas. She was early and totally set up before I even arrived. She was so helpful in ways beyond my hair and makeup. She did a beautiful job with my hair as well as my daughters. She even showed my daughter how to do makeup properly. Having her there was like having a friend who knew how to do hair and makeup. She went above and beyond to make my day and my hair and makeup flawless. Highly recommend her!!

  Wonderful wedding experience

  Barbara has been cutting and styling my hair for many years, so I was well aware that she does hair and makeup for special events, from weddings to televised extravaganzas. For my older daughter’s wedding, she came to the bridal suite at our hotel and did hair and makeup for both of my daughters and me. The hairstyles were beautiful and stayed beautiful through a long, humid day; our makeup also looked great all day and made us look fabulous for photography. I was particularly pleased because I normally wear very little makeup (and the bride typically wears no makeup), so we wanted to look and feel “special” and photograph well without looking wildly different from our usual selves. Barbara got that balance just right for us. It was wonderful to have Barbara come to us rather than us having to make a trip to a salon. Not only was it a much calmer, more convenient experience, but we also avoided exposing my highly allergic daughter (the bride) to many of the allergens and fragrances that would have been virtually unavoidable in a salon setting. I highly recommend contacting Barbara to discuss what she can do for you.

  Barbara did my mom's makeup and hair for my brother's wedding. She did a fantastic job. It was the first time I visited the salon, but she was very nice. I called her a week before the wedding and she was able to get me in that Saturday. Thanks Barbara

  I am the Mother of the groom. My daughter also had Barbara help us look our absolute best. The wedding was on a Monday so we went to the salon where she works rather than have Barbara come to us. Fortunately for us, this was near the wedding site. Barbara even went to a beauty supply store to get the RIGHT color eye shadow for my dress as she was not satisfied with the colors in her arsenal at the shop. My daughter wore a 20's vintage style dress. The hairdo Barbara designed for her was chic and appropriate for the attire.
  I was fortunate to have had a "good feeling" when speaking to her in our initial telephone contact. Intuitively I knew that she would be able to help me be the "best ever" looking Mother of the groom. Mission accomplished! Thank you Barbara.

Absolutely seamless in organization, making my sisters, my mom, and me look amazing, and being at the wedding for the necessary touch ups when the tears got too much for our make-up. Our hair and make-up looked fantastic and Barbara was able to take care of all of us staying on a tight timeline. We were ready for pictures as needed and completely camera ready. Super easy and professional plus a ton of fun. Barbara was a HUGE success and I would recommend her without hesitation!!!

  I recently hosted a "Walking Dead" event and needed a skilled, special effects makeup artist. As a caterer & event designer, details mean everything to me. Barbara came highly recommended from the ladies at the Neiman Marcus, Tysons Galleria makeup counters. I called Barbara and just from our initial convo, I knew that I found someone who could execute my vision. I didn't want the blood and gore associated with zombies/walkers, but rather, a more artistic, high-fashion approach to the theme. Barbara understood exactly what I wanted, and offered suggestions to electrify "the look" even more electrifying. I was so confident with Barbara, that I didn't even request a face-to-face consultation or trial run. For a perfectionist like myself, in a business where no detail can be ignored, this is how much faith I had in Barbara. On the day of my event, Barb, and her assistant Allie, arrived early, with plenty of time to set up for what soon became an amazing production. The experience was so surreal, as they transformed me into a "walker" like no other. My makeup was perfect, the airbrushed body art was phenomenal, and my hair was fabulous. The over-all look was extraordinary. While Barb was hired to only do my hair & makeup, she wanted to be sure that my staff people working this event, were also perfect. While they had planned to do their own hair and makeup, Barb and Allie took over with only moments left to spare before showtime. They transformed 12 of my staff people so that their look was a spin-off of mine. This super-chaotic period of time truly showed Barb's professionalism and skill under pressure. It was incredible, impressive, and unlike anything I had ever seen. What a way to execute and go the extra "thousand" mile for a client. Barb is certainly a rare, one-of-a-kind makeup artist.   I put down "corporate event" because it seemed to be the closest to the type of event in the list of choices. But actually, I am a singer/performer and I have worked with Barbara at music events where she was hired by the concert promoter doing makeup and hair styling. On Aug 3rd 2013 Barbara was hired to do makeup and hair on site for all of the performers on a Tribute to the Rolling Stones concert at the Fillmore that I performed on. I was extremely lucky to have access to her services. What a treat!
  
  I was so impressed with her skill and attitude, I hired her in October 2013 to do hair and makeup for my next professional photo shoot. She was completely booked up on the day of the photo shoot but she accommodated me by coming in early in the am to get me in and out before her first clients of the day. I also got some wardrobe advice on the fly. (cha-ching)
  
  She basically had to do make up and hair that would last until and throughout the photo shoot which wasn't until 3 to 5 that afternoon. I walked out of her salon feeling like a million bucks. My photographer even commented that whoever had done my makeup had done a fabulous job making his job that much easier. I went straight to a gig from the photo shoot and performed a two hour show—where I continued to get a parade of compliments on my appearance. That is some serious lasting power!
  
  Since then I have hired Barbara to do my hair and makeup at an upcoming performance at the Rams Head Annapolis January 12th 2014. (I don't bother with hiring hair and makeup for smaller shows I just use the tips and tricks she taught me to do my own, but for bigger shows or ones that will be photographed or filmed, I wouldn't think of hiring anyone else.)
  
  Would I recommend Barbara? Yes, highly. She has become my go to gal for professional beauty!

I went straight to a gig from the photo shoot and performed a two hour show—where I continued to get a parade of compliments on my appearance. That is some serious lasting power!
  
  Since then I have hired Barbara to do my hair and makeup at an upcoming performance at the Rams Head Annapolis January 12th 2014. (I don't bother with hiring hair and makeup for smaller shows I just use the tips and tricks she taught me to do my own, but for bigger shows or ones that will be photographed or filmed, I wouldn't think of hiring anyone else.)
  
  Would I recommend Barbara? Yes, highly. She has become my go to gal for professional beauty!

  Beauty at Your Door did my hair and my maid of honor's hair for my wedding. They did an awesome job and we were really happy! They came to our hotel and had us all set for pictures. Very professional and talented!

After all these are the pictures that would be hung in our living room, seen by so many and passed down the generations! Whatever I wanted, Barbara delivered. I wanted my eyes to be the highlight, and my dead straight hair to be all curled up greek style. And she had her creative inputs. From my jewelry we had a small piece left, which she used creatively in my hair. You could pretty much anything related to beauty in those 2 bags she carries. And I really mean - anything! Most important - Barbara successfully calmed down a very nervous bride. Somewhere in the middle of the event, Barbara came up to me and said 'I've got the curling iron ready outside' to tighten the hanging curls! I was so impressed. This is truly Beauty at Your Door. Thank you so much Barbara.

  Barbara was wonderful! Myself, two daughters-in-law and my granddaughter were having our hair and makeup done for my son's wedding. She and a colleague travelled from Maryland to New Jersey where the wedding was being held. They stayed until after the ceremony to freshen our makeup and hair for the reception. That's service!
