The Barn at Gibbet Hill was an incredible venue to get married in. They went above and beyond every step of the way. It was very clear that the entire staff truly wanted to make our night as memorable as possible. Going into the process, we weren’t worried about much from Gibbet Hill, but we could never have expected the level of service we received. There really aren’t enough words to accurately describe how satisfied we were with this venue, but I do want to try and highlight a few aspects that were especially spectacular.

First, our day of planner Stefani was exactly what you need from an event planner. Our first meeting relieved so much stress during the planning process, because it was clear that Stefani had everything under control. She followed that up with excellent communication throughout the process and handled all of our back and forth on the guest list and menu items with no issue. We couldn’t have made our night a reality without her.

Secondly, the service from the rest of the staff was incredible. Our wedding party attendant, Jess specifically, was top tier. We never needed anything that evening, because she was already behind us with whatever it was we needed. Additionally, we had to move the ceremony inside last minute due to the weather, and the crew at Gibbet Hill handled it with so much efficiency and discretion our guests had no idea there was a last-minute change happening. After all the dust settled, I think we decided that the inside ceremony might have been even better that way!

Lastly, and as important as anything else for us, the food lived up to every bit of the hype. One of the most common compliments we got from our guests was it was the best food they’d every had at a wedding. Food was incredibly important to us, and I would say we have very high standards when it comes to our meals. The chef and the rest of the kitchen staff surpassed those already high standards at every stage, hors d’oeuvres to dessert. I’m confident I’ll never enjoy another wedding meal in my future, because I will forever be comparing it to the one we had at Gibbet Hill. Simply, phenomenal.

We had our wedding at The Barn at Gibbet Hill in May 2025. I can honestly say it was the perfect day. The venue is so beautiful on its own, but the venue staff really make for a wonderful experience. Our wedding coordinator made sure our day went without a hitch from our very first planning meeting. We had our ceremony outside that overlooks the grounds. Our guests had plenty of space on the four season porch for cocktail hour. Our guests continue to rave about the food! I can honestly say I wouldn't have changed a thing about our wedding day.

The Barn at Gibbet Hill's location, food, professionalism, and staff were all fantastic. We can't picture what chaos might have ensued if we had booked with a different venue. We had an extremely short engagement, just 113 days, and the Barn was integral to making sure our wedding went smoothly. Special thanks to Katelyn and the rest of the team! Leading up to the wedding, they were available for every question we had big and small--whether it was how to feed one of our guests with extensive life-threatening allergies, how to incorporate a Navy sword into our reception, to how to get Grandmas down onto the lawn--Gibbet Hill was nothing but prompt, attentive, flexible, and professional. On the day of, our venue worked tirelessly behind the scenes to coordinate with our other vendors. Everybody gave extensive compliments to the beauty of the location and how fabulous the food and drink were on our special day. We truly cannot be happier with the Barn. Thank you Gibbet Hill!

Stefani was our wedding coordinator she was awesome we cruised through decision making and she helped when needed. They know how to throw an event you have to trust the process they absolutely know what they are doing. We had the best day everyone was so accommodating to our family and friends and everyone is still raving about the food! I am so glad we had our wedding here it’s something we will both remember forever! Thanks everyone at Gibbet Hill for making it such a memorable event!

This venue is a well-oiled machine. They know exactly what they're doing, and the best thing you can do is just trust them! We had a 220-person wedding on the most popular wedding weekend of the year (October 8), Gibbet Hill had another wedding that same morning, and the night went SO smoothly and we felt special and taken care of. At the end of our ceremony, during our few moments alone, the staff had set out all of the appetizers for us in the wedding suite, and one of each signature cocktail. Bree Oates was our planner and coordinator, and we felt like family by the end. This venue and its professional staff KNOW how to host a wedding, and we're so glad we chose them. Guests are still talking about the event over a month later, reminiscing! Thank you, Gibbet Hill!

We got married almost three months ago on 7/15/22. We could not have asked for a more phenomenal experience with everyone at The Barn at Gibbet Hill. Dierdre was our coordinator and helped us plan throughout the year leading up to our event. We changed our details and numbers many times and things fluctuated, and she meticulously handled each change. She was a pleasure to work with. We had many strong opinions and Dierdre navigated helping us plan with grace and kept everyone calm right up until we walked down the aisle.

Heather was our bridal party attendant and was phenomenal. Everyone kept telling us prior to the wedding that we wouldn't have time to eat during the wedding. Heather made sure that was not the case. Every time we turned around, there was a plate of appetizers or a fresh drink ready for us to taste. How many couples can say they were able to taste everything at their wedding?

The week of our wedding, a number of family members got COVID and were not able to join us. The team helped us accommodate a last-minute videographer as as well as many last minute shuffles to the seating chart and layout. We never worried for a second that everything wasn't going to be handled.

The food was delicious and the venue itself was stunning. We could not feel more grateful to have picked The Barn at Gibbet Hill.

My now-husband had been to a wedding at the Barn at Gibbet Hill years before we met, and loved it so much that he told me early on that's where he wanted to get married. We frequented their restaurant, the Gibbet Hill Grill, for special occasions and the food and service there are both top notch, so it was an easy yes from me. We worked with Bree as our venue coordinator, and she made the process so easy and organized. The Barn provides tons of resources on recommended vendors as well as options for decor, and provides online tools for RSVP management and seating arrangements, which gave us an easy jumping off point for planning the rest of our wedding. For vendors we already had in mind we were free to hire who we wanted, but for other items it was great to have the Barn's resources and experience as a starting point so that we weren't blindly searching through an endless list of potential vendors. Bree met with us a few times during the planning process, and was easy to connect with by email or phone between meetings. When I wanted to do a last-minute signature drink swap, she made it happen quickly and easily. During the wedding, she was always around to keep things moving smoothly and check on us to make sure we had anything we needed. Bree and the other day-of staff always made sure we had a chance to have food and drinks, knew when and where we needed to be, and touched base with us throughout the night. Cocktail hour flew by while we were taking photos, so Bree made sure a plate of apps was brought down to the wedding suite so we could enjoy a few bites before the reception, and left a few snacks for us at our sweetheart table. Even our guests commented on how fun their waitstaff was and how great the service was during the party. The food was outstanding, and the venue itself is so beautiful it barely needed any decorating. We could absolutely not have been happier with how everything went.

I don’t know where to begin to describe how highly I recommend this wedding venue. It is beautiful, the food is amazing, and everything is done professionally. Bree is amazing to work with: she is calm, pleasant, easy to reach, and wholeheartedly aims to please. The Barn is lucky to have her! She organized everything on the wedding day, so we had nothing to think about from beginning until the end (everything we had to take home was organized and arranged within minutes at the end of the evening)! They truly want the bridal family to be catered to - not to worry about anything - just enjoy the wedding day! I was shocked that they completely pulled it off: we enjoyed every minute! Despite our atypical ceremony plan, Bree made it happen exactly as we hoped! The bridal party was taken care of from the minute we arrived throughout the evening. The Barn even has someone checking in on the bride throughout the day and evening, taking care of her every little need! (Even cleaning her wedding gown after it got muddy taking outdoor pictures… this was certainly not something we expected her to do… but it was greatly appreciated)! Our guests have been ranting and raving about the food, drinks, and the beauty of the venue. We are grateful we chose the Barn and recommend it highly! I could not believe how easily the entire planning process went… everyone I know who has planned a wedding has stories about problems with the venue… all I had were positive experiences over and over … no matter what we requested! Bree surpassed all expectations - I hope she reads this!

Almost 4 months since my wedding and it took me all this time to properly put into words just how outstanding our wedding day was. We got married in the midst of the omicron surge - so leading up to the day I felt like we were going to have to cancel. It was gut wrenching. Bree Oates was our event manager and she was the most calming person to work with. She dealt with all of my crazy questions with such professionalism and was so kind. She reassured us that our day would not be affected - and she helped me feel sane. The day of our wedding was seamless. All of the work Bree had put into our wedding day was so perfectly executed by her staff, there were no hiccups - it was PERFECT. We had Jill as our bridal assistant that day - and oh my GOSH - a life saving angel. She was there at every moment we needed anything - she was AMAZING, she even helped clean my wedding dress after it had gotten mud all over it right before introductions. Every bride needs a Jill - She eliminated any stress that day and I am so thankful. Everything was set up beautifully, the food was delicious, and we are still getting compliments 4 months later. If I could do it all over again I would - it was the best day ever. I cannot recommend The Barn at Gibbet Hill enough. Flawless

After visiting a few venues in the area, I'm so, so happy that we chose the Barn at Gibbet Hill. From the start, they were a pleasure to work with. Everyone we worked with there - especially Bree - was friendly and responsive. Our original wedding date was planned to be 3/28/2020. When COVID-19 broke out, Bree helped us navigate rescheduling...twice. Eventually, we settled on 4/2/2022, and the day went off without a hitch!

As the venue and the caterer, the Barn made planning super easy. They laid out a clear and concise schedule of when choices and payments needed to be made. The tasting was excellent (which only served to pump us up for the night for the 2+ years we had to wait for the reception!). The venue itself is beautiful, and the Barn had plenty of other decorations available for rent that only supplemented it. I didn't have the time to put a lot of effort into various decorations, but the Barn did a good job of making the event beautiful nonetheless.

Everyone at the Barn made the event go off so smoothly and effortlessly on my part. We arrived at the venue early for first looks and pictures, and they had separate areas set up for me and my husband so that we really got that first-look experience. When we arrived at cocktail hour, they brought us food and drink separately to make sure we got to eat. The Barn had several staff that checked in on us throughout the night, making sure we had everything we needed and that we stuck to the schedule. When I say it was effortless on my part, I mean it - everything went off without me having to worry about anything! Even at the end of the night, the staff did a great job of packing everything up and making sure we didn't forget anything on our way out.

Overall, our experience at the Barn at Gibbet Hill was amazing. They made planning and executing our wedding incredibly easy and effortless. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to host their event or wedding in the area!
