Balducci's created a beautiful and delicious cake for our wedding! Every step in the process went smoothly, from the initial appointment to delivery they provided friendly services, with a variety of options for us to choose from. The cake tasting was a blast and confirmed our decision to hire them! Guests raved about our four tier chocolate and raspberry mousse vanilla cake, even asking for seconds. Thank you Balducci's!

The food was delicious, though the price was a little high.

John was everything a good DJ should be: he kept the dance floor packed all night (and we even had a small crowd), he would check with us any time he wanted to play something different, and he played all of our requests. He's also an excellent MC, with a good, easy-to-listen-to voice. Even though we didn't end up taking them, he offered us many different options, too, including a small jazz ensemble for the Cocktail Hour, that really wouldn't have cost us that much more. John knows how to read a crowd, time the slow and fast songs based on the energy in the room, and give a feeling of momentum to the party. All of our guests keep raving about what a great time they had, and we attribute most of that to John!

I found out about Balduccis after I went to the wedding of a friend who had the best wedding cake I'd ever had. When it was my turn to get married, after looking at several other places, I choose Balduccis and they did a perfect job for our wedding cake. We were looking for a nice display cake but didn't have to be over the top. And most importantly we wanted the cake to taste great and not spend a fortune! Balduccis did a great job keeping the price down by making two tiers of fake cake and the top two tiers of real cake. So we got to cut the second tier and take home the top tier. Then they served sheet cakes which makes it so much more affordable. We choose two different flavors for the sheet cakes. They have lots of options for frosting and fillings, but only vanilla and chocolate for the actual cake whereas some of the other places we looked at had more cake options. But for the difference in cost, it's not even a question. Balduccis was delicious and very easy to work with.

Balducci's provided the cake for my wedding. The contact person that I worked with, Elizabeth Roth, was awesome. She was definitely my favorite vendor to work with throughout this whole wedding planning process. She was always responsive, friendly and helpful. She provided suggestions and ideas to make my vision a reality. They provided the best value for a wedding cake in the area. We got two different flavors and both were delicious. Our guests raved about how great the cake tasted. It was light and moist. My only complaint is that the cake was suppose to have real orchids instead of sugar flowers. It was still beautiful but not exactly what I imagined. Make sure all the details are spelled out in the contract. I had an email discussion with Elizabeth about this but unfortunately she had moved to another store location right before my wedding and that piece of information was not relayed to the person who took over for her. In the end I would still use Balducci's again for any cake or dessert services. You can't beat the cost or the taste!!

Great decision. We didn't care too much for an overally ornate cake-- just wanted something that tasted great and was simple to decorate. Balducci's def fit the bill-- we ordered our cakes unstacked to save some money and even with delivery, it was a huge savings! We heard from our guests that the cakes were delicious!

The cake the bakers at Balduccis catering was soooo beautiful. We worked almost completely over the phone and email and were able to come up with a custom cake design that looked exactly like I envisioned it to look. The taste of the cakes were awesome too! The price of the cake was high, but I do not think any more expensive than most places.

Cake tasted great and was much more affordable than most wedding cakes! Just be sure to preview exactly what you are getting, I asked for one size, was suggested another and would have liked my preference better! But, great deal-- just don't have them stack/tier the cake for you-- it triples the cost!

I dealt with Balducci's exclusively over the phone through their catering department and with their wedding cake specialist. They were courteous and professional, although not overly helpful with the process. This wasn't a big problem, because I knew exactly what I wanted (I used to decorate cakes for a living). They were infinitely better than another popular wedding cake vendor in our area, who essentially told me what I wanted was "stupid". The rep did make some good flavor recommendations (alterations to what I requested, to improve on them). I ordered their sampler with 4 flavors, which cost around $20 and was credited to the cost of the cake. For the flavor and decoration options they offered, I found their pricing very competitive. I ordered fresh flowers on my cake, which were surprisingly expensive, but I went with them to not have to deal with finding some on my own.

The cake samples were all delicious, we settled on chocolate cake with raspberry liqueur soak and white chocolate mousse filling on one layer, and yellow cake with pear mousse on another. The chocolate layer was the best, the feedback I got on the pear mousse was that it didn't really taste like pear. Definitely one of the tastiest wedding cakes I've eaten!
The decoration work was fantastic, they exactly reproduced the drawing I gave them and it looked fabulous. I was totally thrilled with the appearance.

Our cake ended up tasting and looking great, but we had some issues with the contract and the price we were quoted. In the end we reached an agreement on the price, but it was very frustrating. Also, we did not want fondant and were told when we settled everything that icing the whole cake in buttercream would be fine, however, the day before the wedding they called and told us they had to use fondant. Minor issue, but they did not charge us more because the error was on their part and because they had misquoted us on the original price several months back.
