Welcome to Balcones Country Club-probably the best kept secret in the North Austin area. Balcones is a private country club that also caters to outside events.

Ourlegendary private clubhouse with dramatic ceilings accommodates between 175-225 people and is a perfect backdrop for your bridal luncheon, rehearsal dinner, and wedding reception and ceremony. The immaculate landscaping surrounding our property also provides a fabulous setting for bridal and wedding day portraits. In addition to the distinctive structural design, Balcones Country Club provides full service, extensive menus, and elegant embellishments.

The Balcones Country Club staff was amazing !
Natalie Bratcher, events coordinator, Chef Gary, Chef Brian, Richard the banquet captain, Miles and David the outstanding professional servers and Becca the receptionist. I hope I'm not leaving anyone out. They were just so amazingly Kind, Patient, Accommodating to our needs and preferences. Natalie went above and beyond, she decorated the venue, arranged everything, made it look so nice. My guests were impressed and pleased, we all had a very nice time. The price was very reasonable. I will recommend anyone who is thinking of getting married to reach out to this amazing team for help and guide. Natalie so kind and professional, just amazing :)!

When I first saw the reception rooms I was little worried. It is an older building with low ceilings and very plain on decoration. Our coordinator Rachel Gil did an awesome job of transforming it for our wedding. When we saw it with the table linens, chair covers and icicle lights covering ceiling- the space was transformed. I really liked being able to do the ceremony and reception in one place, and the staff was very quick at turning over the ceremony space into the buffet. All of our guests really enjoyed it and felt well taken care of. Everybody loved the pasta station, and we had two guests that needed gluten-free meals, and were taken care of, no problem. I can't think of a single thing to complain about.

Balcones was a decent venue to work with. In the end we had a great night, but not all things were executed according to plan. I was very worried during the planning process because their staff changed over 3 times during the year after I booked them. the food ended being great, because we practically designed all of it ourselves, since they were not much help when you wanted food that deviated from their standard menus. We had specifically instructed them to do a few small things that didn't happen. We had wanted them to package up two entrees to take with us when we left the reception. When my bridesmaid went to get them, they had already packed all the food up. They did send us home with all the leftover crab cakes though after she insisted. They were very helpful in cleaning up and holding my things until I was able to get them after returning from the honeymoon. We rented the entire building, but they left the bar open to their club members during the wedding.
