Augusta's talent as a photographer, open heart, and creativity were key components in making our elopement feel special, and in helping us share it with family and friends after our return. I asked Augusta to capture what it felt like for us to be in nature as we got married, focusing less on typical close-up/stand-up presentational wedding photos, and more on a documentary style reflecting our surroundings.


She really captured what I wanted, and built upon it to more than I had originally been able to put into words. Her presence at our small ceremony never felt intrusive, even though it was such a private affair, and she was a fantastic officiant as well. The photos immediately bring us back to the magical calm feeling of being on Black Sands Beach in the fog, and our families were able to gain a sense of it as well--a sort of 'being there' without having any guests.


I truly believe that no other photographer could have pulled this off--from Augusta's flexibility as the day and location changed, to her grounded and adventurous spirit, to her open-mindedness and ability to listen to our concerns/discomfort with the staged formality of 'typical' wedding photography. Augusta literally "made" our wedding!

And every time we saw someone out they'd say "Congratulations! Your photos were GORGEOUS!"
Knowing her personally, Augusta was the first person we went to talk photography when we got engaged.
When we did our engagement shoot, she went with our ideas and captured our personalities. Her editing is phenomenal and she was able to accommodate our requests.
During our wedding planning, I had at least two phone consults after our initial and she did a venue scout with us. I also sent her crazy lists of what I wanted done for pictures from Pinterest --she agreed to all of my requests, but on the day that list was far from my mind and Augusta did her own thing mostly, which I was grateful for. Augusta was present at the wedding for each traditional shot and reception event. She didn't skip a beat.
She went above and beyond. When I asked Augusta for specific photos I wanted for our thank you cards--she delivered them a day later.
Again, beautiful delivery and timing of our wedding photos. She delivered over 800 photos to us, which told the story of our weekend. We laughed and we cried as Augusta went through each of our photos with us!

Augusta is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The experience working with her was a 12 out of 10. Augusta is a beautiful soul and a brilliant photographer. She is so incredibly talented and I love every single one of our wedding photos. I didn't even notice her taking photos the day of, yet she captured each and every moment perfectly.

I felt 100% comfortable with Augusta throughout the entire process.
