From the moment we got engaged, it was top priority that we found an officiant who would understand us as a couple. It was important that that person would take the time to get to know us as well as share our same enthusiasm for that day. We could not have found anyone better than Ashley Shuey. From the very beginning, Ashley made planning the ceremony incredibly easy. Her genuine disposition and easygoing nature made it so easy to open up to her. It is evident that she truly cares about us as individuals, our relationship, as well as the ceremony we present to our guests. Her communication throughout the planning process was exemplarily. Months in advance, she sent us each separate questionnaires so she could be able to fully understand our story. She followed up with a detailed outline of the ceremony, which we were able to revise and truly make our own. She offered poems, readings, and quotes that she felt were representative of us. She even included the address and business hours of the County Clerk's office where we would need to file our wedding certificate. The week before the wedding she sent us the exact words she would be reciting, just in case we wanted to peek and make any changes. We knew that what Ashley had prepared would be perfect, so we refrained. We will always have this copy to look back on.
On the day of our outdoor wedding, it rained. It poured - immediately as we walked down the aisle. Ashley was a true professional and adjusted to the circumstances, helping us to laugh and stay present in the moment. We would not have had our wedding day play out any other way. Ashley Shuey is now a part of our lives forever. We could not thank her enough for all that she is. Ashley is compassionate and sincere. She is spirited and fun. She is honest and all around awesome. No doubt she will make your beautiful day that much more special, even if it it looks like it might rain.
