About
On WeddingWire since 2023
This section is supposed to market me as a long-time wedding officiant, but let me start with the heart of any wedding – you! Congratulations and mazal tov on your engagement, it’s such an exciting time! I believe that everything about your wedding should be meaningful to you, and a reflection of who you are as a couple and your love story. It’s your story, after all, that is bringing everyone together on your day. And it’s your story that is at the heart of the wedding ceremony.
As a wedding officiant based in the Greater Philadelphia area (including New Jersey, New York, and Delaware) with years of experience, I work with couples to put together ceremonies that are warm, personal, filled with humor and love and joy. I officiate at secular ceremonies of all types – LGBTQ+ welcome! – and, as an ordained rabbi, I officiate at Jewish weddings that feel both modern and traditional. Interfaith, multi-faith, co-officiation, civil ceremonies, commitment ceremonies, vow renewals – yes to all!
The couples I work with feel both heard and taken care of. I take the time needed to get to know you and what you want from one of the most important days of your life. Have special readings? Music? Family customs or rituals? Great, I say “yes!” Often I hear from couples and guests that the ceremony I led was special and memorable and really captured the feeling of love in the room. Isn’t that what a wedding is all about? I would love to work with you to help make the ceremony the foundation of your amazing day.

I love love! That might be the most important biographical detail about me: I love to help others celebrate their love. But other details: I grew up in northern New Jersey, studied psychology at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!), moved to California, then to Jerusalem, then New York where I became a rabbi. I’ve lived in the Philly area for over 20 years. Officiating at weddings was always the best part of the job of being a rabbi. Now I get to do it for all types of ceremonies, secular and religious alike! Over the years I’ve helped many couples from all walks of life and backgrounds craft beautiful and personal ceremonies. I’d love to be a part of your special day!
