Artistic Edge Studio of Corsicana, TX, is a full-service salon. I went in about a week before my wedding to try out some hairstyles, and to have highlights put in my hair. My husband loved the highlights, as it made my hair look more like the color it was when I met him 30 years ago.

My highlights & trial-run hairdo were done by Celia, and she did a very good job. The highlights were perfect, and I expect that my husband will be willing to send me back periodically to have them touched up or re-done!

I showed Celia some pictures I'd collected, and gave her the vaguest of ideas as to what I wanted. I've been wearing my hair long & straight for more years than I care to admit, and everyone I've ever asked to work on it has wanted to cut it! Celia never even suggested that. She took it all in, including my vague comments, and said, "I think I know what needs to be done." And boy, did she! She put a lovely braid down the left side of my head and down around the back, then pinned it all in place, & put the remaining hair over my right shoulder (in front). This hair, she took a sort of hair straightener/curling iron to, and made me some beautiful ringlet-type curls. It was exactly what I hadn't even known I'd wanted! I think someone referred to this 'do as a "Fountain."

I asked if she'd be there on the morning of July 14 (a Saturday), and we made an appointment for nine AM. She also agreed to do my make-up. I'd had it done rather well at a make-up counter in a department store, but Celia ended up doing a better job.

Later, I called the Studio and asked about manicures. I reached Lindsey. She quoted me prices, which I'm sure were reasonable, for a manicure, and a pedicure, separately. When I heard the prices, I realized they were out of my budget, so I said, "Well, let's just go with the manicure."

But Lindsey said, "No, you're getting married, and you should have BOTH done!" Then she offered me a packaged deal that was more in my price range.

Lindsey actually worked on me first on the morning of the 14th. She was very chatty and pleasant, and made me feel right at home. She also did some clever things with my nails, which are not the best, and made them look fantastic!

So I got some really professional services for a very, very reasonable price. I think it'd be worth the drive from Dallas to Corsicana to get these gals to do your beauty work!

Thanks to Celia & Lindsey for making me look beautiful for my wedding day!
