When I first saw Anna's work I was obsessed and knew I wanted to have her apart of our day. From the initial contact Anna was just the sweetest. So quick to respond and friendly. Planning a destination wedding plus postponing due to Covid made an already stressful situation even more stressful but Anna was there every single step of the way. We met up for engagement photos and Anna immediately felt like a friend. She has a way of making you feel so comfortable in front of the camera and really hypes up your love without being weird. During the planning process Anna checked in often and was always willing to help with suggestion on vendors. When it finally came to our big day Anna truly felt like one of our best friends, so much so that we actually invited her to our welcome dinner. Anna showed up to the wedding day full of zest and energy and immediately hit the ground running. And this gal did not stop all day. She was an absolute dream, we had several guest comment on how incredible she was. Anna made sure the stress level was low and the hype was high. She made sure we stuck to the timeline, and when we inevitably didn't she reminded us to just go with the flow. Anna was sure to check on me throughout the day to see if i needed anything (water, snacks, a dance break). She got right in the mix with our friends on the dance floor which i am convinced led to the most epic shots. Anna has an incredible eye for talent and is a wonderful person to work with. We got a huge lot of sneak peeks back just 3 days after our wedding! And every single one is gorgeous! 10 out of 10 experience, highly recommend.

I found Anna Joy Photography through Instagram (@annajoyphotography), someone that I was following posted a couple of her photos and I loved the style and lighting of her photos. My husband and I had to postpone our wedding due to COVID, Anna was very understanding and empathetic throughout the whole process. We ended up changing our venue and Anna made a lot of great suggestions, including different venue options as well as some great vendor recommendations. While she was shooting our engagement and wedding photos, she made us feel at ease, confident and she made us laugh throughout the whole time. Anna was absolutely amazing. My husband and I are so happy to have worked with Anna on our wedding day! We had the best time working with Anna to plan our wedding day photos! Leading up the day of, Anna was easy to communicate with by both email and text. Due to the US/Canada border closure we met at a park on the border to get married and our location was pretty much sight unseen and rain was forecasted.

Anna was completely unphased and helped us plan where to set up our small wedding arch so that it would photograph nicely without others in the park in our shots. After the ceremony, it started raining harder and she and quickly helped us find some perfect spots for photos. Despite the weather, we had so much fun with Anna, she kept us laughing and smiling, we had a fantastic time, ended up with amazing photos and great memories. We would absolutely recommend Anna without reservations.

Working with Anna Joy Photography was one of the best wedding decisions I made. My husband and I chose to have a destination wedding, and Anna made me feel at peace about choosing an out of state photographer throughout the whole planning process.
