I had my hair and make-up done at Amato. I felt like a whole new person and looked beautiful for all my pictures. I am extremely happy with the service at Amato and will continue to give them my business.

They did a wonderful job getting my large group in and done on a time crunch (I had to be ready to be married at noon!). They came in early and everyone looked beautiful when they were all done!

They are no longer located on Harlem. They moved to Mokena. Overall, they did a great job. The only bad thing was they were supposed to do mine and my mom's hair first. Well, they did my hair first because I'm the bride, but my mom was the last person to get her hair done. Which really upset me, because I wanted my mom to come home with me first to help me get my dress on. Overall, I still recommend Amato.

Sarah did my hair and makeup for my wedding day. I had a trial run one week before. It was pouring rain on my wedding day, so Sarah advised me how to best avoid getting frizzy. Several other women in the family also had their hair done at Amato the morning of my wedding, and everyone seemed pleased with how it turned out. I have to admit I liked my hair after the trial run better than on the actual wedding day. Sarah was very nice and friendly and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. I was nervous before my trial run since friends had told me they'd had to fight with hair and makeup people to avoid looking like a clown but Sarah really understood the look I was going for and worked with me to achieve it. She was very patient with me when I was indecisive or wanted to see how various options would look. The salon was very accomodating, as several of the appointments for people in my family were booked only a week in advance. Overall, I really like the salon a lot and would be getting my hair cut regularly there if only I lived in the area. As it is, it may be worth driving a few hours...
