Amaris was an essential part of making our wedding such a special day. I truly cannot say enough good things about her - her work speaks for itself, she's absolutely an artist and captures the most beautiful photos. She's also an incredibly kind person and had a special and caring way of making everyone feel comfortable at all times.

She made an effort to get to know me and my partner on a deep level and this definitely allowed her to truly capture both of us, and the relationship we had together in her photos. She really took the time to ask us about us and I think she really "got" who we were and made an effort to convey that in her photos.

Amaris was so organized throughout the preparation for our wedding day, and went above and beyond in so many ways- she was always there to chat through our day-of schedule, and gave us so many great referrals for other vendors. It really felt like we were a team and she was just as invested as we were in making the day authentic to us. We did a very small intimate wedding, and this didn't faze Amaris at all, she was able to completely capture the energy of the day and the special little moments that were most important to us. She was also such a source of peace and calm on the wedding day - I think all brides know how crazy the day can get at times, and Amaris was always there to remind us to take a deep breath and actually enjoy the moment. We'll always be grateful for that :)

We wanted to do a first look, and it ended up being our absolute favorite moment of the day. Amaris- she captured our attention very early on. My husband and I were having a very intimate wedding at our house and wanted a photographer that could capture the true emotion of the day. The photos came out better than we could have imagined. She also makes the day fun, helps with the champagne flutes when needed, and makes you have the best time. Genuinely 10/10 experience.

Amaris is one of the best photographers in Hampton Roads. She did our dreamy rooftop wedding in Norfolk, and I can't tell you how special, how seen, and how understood we felt with her as our wedding photographer. She also did some pre-wedding shots with us just because she wanted to get a feel for us as a couple before. She really goes the extra mile.

On the day of the wedding, we gave her an hour to shoot photos with just me and my bride. I highly recommend you give her that much time to chase the light because we had enough flexibility to be creative without trying to rush through the photos, my wife and I also had some quality time together just to talk about how we were feeling before the ceremony (basically, it gave us a breather while she just shot photos) and at the end of it we get pictures that we'll adore for the rest of our lives. Amaris was considerate, clear, and a whole lot of fun to have at the wedding. My whole family loved being captured by her; she even got my nephews to smile and sit still (a first). It's great having a wedding photographer who can keep the kids focused, really helps with stress.

The best thing about Amaris is that she was able to take our vision and expand on it in ways we couldn't have put into words. We know we got the best photos possible for our special day (both goofy and serious).

If you're like me and you tend to feel very uncomfortable in front of cameras, I highly recommend Amaris. She has a way of making the session feel SO relaxed, like you're just talking and hanging out, but at the end of it you get the best photos of your life.

I highly recommend booking with her NOW because in a couple of years you're going to be VERY lucky to book her. She'll be in high demand.

Amaris is truly an artist. While our wedding day was spontaneously planned hundreds of miles away- we knew we needed someone to capture the memory of our feelings in the purest form.

I sent a blind e-mail to Amaris and she immediately responded, we set up a FaceTime and we laughed like old friends. She created an effortlessly comfortable environment and I told her Jason and I’s story. We talked about things that were important to both of us, and the next morning she had followed up with an incredible plan that included beautiful photo locations that catered specifically to my husband and me.

We had so much fun running from the courthouse to the pub, and then we danced at the Botanical Gardens in a fairytale moment that would not have been possible if it weren’t for Amaris’ vision.

The day felt serenely perfect and although we missed our families, we were able to give them that day through her visual storytelling. Amaris captured everything we were feeling in those moments in a beautifully, natural way. Having these photos to share with our family made them feel as though they were there, and that means more than anything.

A picture is worth so many words, I can not be more supportive of a recommendation for Amaris’ photography. While her photographs speak for themselves, the experience she provides is just as meaningful.

Logistically, her correspondence was prompt, professional and kind. Her platform for billing and e-mails was super easy to use and efficient. Her turn around time for our finished album was early and she immediately provided us with a preview of our photos that kept us in awe. Her passion for photography radiates in her work, something that cannot be taught.
