Masao was an absolute pleasure to work with, and my husband and I are thrilled with how our engagement and wedding photos turned out. Our families and guests keep telling us how much they love the photos as well! Masao did an incredible job putting us at ease, which started with an in person meeting where we discussed his work and got to know each other. He was friendly, polite, and did not pressure us at all throughout our hour long meeting. His communication was always prompt and courteous. For our engagement session, he worked with us to choose a suitable date to shoot on Mount Washington. He patiently rescheduled with us multiple times on account of the weather. On the day of the shoot, he went above and beyond to get some spectacular photos. On the wedding day, Masao was calm and professional. He made sure to clearly communicate with us to make sure we got all the photos we wanted, and he also made sure we had time to soak everything in and cherish the day. Masao did a wonderful job not only creating beautiful photos, but capturing the spirits of the people he photographed, and the emotion of the day. We now have multiple photos printed and framed in our home, and we enjoy looking at them every day. We cannot recommend Masao and Amara Photo enough.

Because my husband and I decided to have a very small wedding (just immediate family), it was important to us to have high-quality photos that we could share with our friends and family.

Masao and his team took the most incredible pictures -- capturing not only the day and its feel, but also the personalities of our family members, whom he had only just met. Masao and Yofred of Amara Photo can only be described as magicians! They were able to capture the quiet romantic moments of the ceremony and the party-rockin', fist pumpin' time at the reception! My husband and I were so thrilled with Amara Photo as our wedding photographers. Masao was warm, flexible and just generally easy to work with immediately from the get-go as it related to scheduling, his passion for creative photography, etc. His vision about providing quality, original shots rather than a massive quantity of photos really resonated with me. I didn't want a photographer to promise me 5,000 photos, when, in reality, you know they'd be hitting their quota by providing you with about 30 of the "same" photos each time they switched a shot up.

On the wedding day itself, numerous wedding party members and guests also commented on how awesome both Masao and Yofred were on a personal level. When we saw the final product, I was truly awed with my ~1,000 shot gallery. You might notice from their portfolio, that they are quite amazing at finding truly artistic and unique shots. Don't get me wrong, they will do as many traditional, formal shots as you want, but what you're getting with these two is artistry. They also both have ridiculously awesome skills with lighting. Even when they have to make artificial light, they are resourceful and don't bombard you with large pieces of equipment in your face.

As you can tell, I could continue to go on and on about the work these two do every day. I will restrain myself and stop, but definitely do yourself a favor and get in touch with Amara Photo about their availability. I have a feeling they'll be getting booked up solid for many years to come. :)
