Arleen helped our dream wedding come to life!
We cannot recommend All That Glitters Event Design enough. Arleen helped us every step of the way and made sure our special day ran smoothly. She helped us with every aspect of our wedding planning, from keeping track of everything we had booked, to making sure we had all of our details set for the day. We didn't feel comfortable just handling all of our wedding planning ourselves, and are glad we hired a full service wedding planner, rather than just a day of coordinator. We are more relaxed people and didn't have a strong sense of how to handle details, so having a good team was very important to bringing our wedding to life. Arleen was a great guide into the world of wedding planning. The day was incredibly special and we did not stress at all. Disappointing wished for more
I hired Arleen for my wedding after meeting in a styled shoot. After signing the contract we started planning together and everything was going great. Something unexpected happened and we had to postpone our wedding. The venue issued a full refund of our deposit (specially being over a year away from wedding day), yet somehow she didn't agree to give us any percentage of our money back. It was very disappointing and definitely won't recommend to do business with her. Find a more human and genuine planner for your wedding.Sent on 08/06/2019
All That Glitters Event Design's reply:Thank You for your review of our services. This situation was handled as per our contract. Our services were booked six months prior to this review, we immediately commenced working on the event, reaching out to vendors, creating connections, sending emails, unlimited communications with the client via texts, emails, phone calls, what’s app and also a site inspection and visit to the venue that was two hours away from our offices. We extended a courtesy waive of our travel fees for both the inspection and wedding day. All of this amounted to a large amount of hours already invested working for which only a non refundable retainer was made. We understand the wedding date was postponed for personal reasons and we extended the possibility of re-scheduling the date without any additional fees apart from the services already contracted but as per our contract the retainer was non-refundable and this was explained as we had already been working on the event for a long amount of months. We take pride in our work and we know we have worked hard to make the event a perfect one. We are fair and respect our work and the time that goes into it. We can’t expect to have different rules for our clients as it is not respectful to us, our profession or all our previous and future clients. Our work is valuable and the hours we spend working on each wedding means something. We are also known for our kind demeanor and humanity, it is the reason why we build connections with our clients and we are sorry to read that being professional and following the contract which was read and signed is somehow in contrast to this.
