Where do I even begin with Ali?! Hiring her was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. For context: my now-husband would be the first to tell you that being in front of a camera is… not his thing. Think Chandler Bing during the engagement photo episode of Friends... the stiff smile, the panic, the “is this my face?!” energy. That was the expectation going in. And yet… somehow, magically, Ali turned him into someone who not only tolerated photos, but genuinely enjoyed them.

From our adventure session (which we LOVED and was a huge reason we fell in love with her style prior to booking; so much more “us” than a traditional, staged engagement shoot) to the wedding day itself, Ali made everything feel effortless. She has this incredibly professional yet completely down-to-earth presence that instantly puts you at ease. Nothing ever felt forced or overly posed. Her aesthetic is so natural and timeless, and she captures moments in a way that feels real, not manufactured.

On our wedding day, she was incredible. Half the time we forgot she was even there, yet she somehow captured everything... the big emotional moments and the tiny in-between ones we didn’t even realize were happening. And when it came to group photos, I’ve never seen someone move so efficiently and gracefully while keeping the vibe light and fun. No chaos, no stress. Just seamless execution.

Ali photographed my multicultural wedding back in August, and four months later I still find myself swooning over our photos every single day. We first met Ali & Garrett when they photographed another family members’ wedding, and then had the pleasure to see them again for a second family members’ wedding! Naturally it was an easy choice to consider them for ours, and we were so amazed by the experience our family had when it was our turn! To start, before we even began talking about any photography needs, Ali was super helpful with providing advice on Colorado-based vendors we could consider. She was SO knowledgeable about venues, planners, food vendors, and DJs from her experiences at previous weddings.

When we moved into working with them, Ali sent us a variety of quotes to consider so we could craft and decide upon our photography needs for the big event. She was super flexible to make sure we could accomplish what made sense for our budget. We were also so appreciative that they provide an Adventure Session to get us comfortable in front of the camera, as well as get some fun pre-wedding photos that we could use while planning. Ali was super accommodating with our request to meet in Idaho Springs and hike up to St Mary’s Glacier during our session. We had so much fun with her that afternoon!

Leading up to the wedding, Ali was very organized with planning the day’s photo schedule, determining the groupings of family & wedding party members, as well as collaborating with our videographer. The pre-wedding photos went so smoothly thanks to Ali corralling people into place, and she provided solid direction to make sure the photos would look fantastic. When it came to the wedding & reception, Ali acted like a fly on the wall but a sniper with the camera, and the photos turned out beautifully!! She captured so many great moments with wonderful angles and raw emotion.

My husband and I are could not be more grateful for all of Ali’s help - not just for the photography but for also being a trusted guide throughout the wedding planning process. One of the best decisions we made for our intimate wedding was hiring Ali and Garrett Photography. We are not picture people and tend to hide in the back of group pictures when possible, so we were a little nervous about being the center of all the photos on our wedding day. We worked directly with Ali and she made the entire process extremely comfortable and pain free! Ali is extremely nice and knows exactly how to communicate with couples who aren’t Instagram famous. She also accommodated all our needs and helped capture what was important to us on our special day. We also hired Ali to photograph our engagement session, which included our dog. She knew exactly where to go, what to do and how to work with us. What we thought would be a long and cringey process turned out to be something very special, and we are so thankful for that. Ali is INCREDIBLE. She’s truly the most skilled, creative, and versatile photographer that I’ve ever met. I proposed to my fiancé after taking her out on a private plane, landing at a regional airport, and walking her out of the plane to a spot that Ali had helped me set up. Ali was able to capture every moment of the experience, which will allow us to remember and cherish those moments forever.

Not only is she a talented photographer, but she’s a kind-hearted and caring individual. When planning out the proposal, she helped me with recommendations, ideas, and setup. It meant the world that I had someone who actually cared and was invested in making sure the day was meaningful. Because of her, the proposal went smoothly and was stress-free. She had such a huge amount of patience when dealing with my indecision and last minute ideas, and I’m just so grateful for her.

In addition to photographing the actual engagement, she also took photos at the surprise engagement party and took official engagement pictures for us the next day. She worked very quickly and was able to get us some edits the day of the proposal so we had something to post on social media. The rest of the edits had a very quick turnaround time.

Ali went above and beyond to make me and my fiancé’s engagement so special. It’s a day that we’ll remember and celebrate forever.

After seeing our wedding photos I can say without a doubt there is nobody in Colorado who can do what they do while making you feel as comfortable as they do. Ali and Garrett were the first vendor we picked for our wedding and were with us every step of our two year engagement. Ali did a spectacular job capturing real smiles and emotions during our adventure session and got the most natural pictures of my husband and I. For our wedding, they both went above and beyond to get special pictures of our family members and each moment of joy from our day. Ali is more than a photographer, and was so supportive throughout all parts of the day, helping put everyone at ease and brought such a wonderful energy to the whole day.
