We chose the Aldrich House because we wanted a historic venue that was easy for all 120 of our out-of-town guests to get to (aka not a hotel ballroom or a mansion in South County). It really was perfect for our summer garden party wedding! The price was very reasonable and we loved the flow of shaded outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour to a tent for dinner into the ballroom for dancing. During the reception guests could sit at their tables outside with all the double doors open to the ballroom so they could still hear the music, and it felt like one big party. Renata and all the staff at the venue were lovely to work with before and on the day.
Street parking was easy, we rented an extra bathroom we definitely didn't need, and our DJ was able to mic the ceremony and dinner speeches from the ballroom. Would highly recommend!

Renata is an absolute pleasure to work with. With patience and resilience, she guided us through the process of party planning. On the hottest July evening, forty of us celebrated in the cool comfort of the ballroom-- stepping outside into the spacious green space for our class photo. We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating in the gracious surroundings of Aldrich House. It was a memorable occasion.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience working with Renata at the Aldrich House! This was the first venue we visited as we began to plan our wedding and after meeting with Renata and seeing the entire space, it was the ONLY venue we visited. Renata was so great to work with, answering all of our questions and incredibly responsive in subsequent communications. Beyond the beauty of Aldrich House, we loved that we were able to have our ceremony and reception in the same location. Additionally, the ability to have an indoor ceremony/reception within the Aldrich House in case of bad weather brought us peace of mind (although as Renata says, "It does not rain at the Aldrich House"). We had so many compliments from guests about the venue and how intimate yet comfortable it felt for all 80 of us. The beauty was captured the day of our wedding as well as in our photos and we are so thankful we found the Aldrich House!

We have worked with Aldrich House recently for a wedding this past July and for indoor photos from a bridal party a few years ago. Both times, the venue was a pleasure to work with. Always accommodating and friendly. Definitely worth checking out, especially for those seeking a historic venue in Providence!
Absolutely a gem of a place. This beautiful Architectural space sets the ambience for an elegant and magical event. The setting brings you back in time where Romance was the theme. Wonderful staff makes it even more special. 5 stars all the way!
