With almost 20 years of experience, Alchemy Events specializes in unique events, bringing a deeply personal touch to each wedding we produce. We often work with clients who are looking for something different. This entails getting to know our clients on a personal level & working closely with them throughout the process to create special moments. We love when guests walk into a wedding & comment on how it's not only beautiful but it so perfectly reflects the couple & their relationship. Our years of experience also mean we can flawlessly guide you throughout your planning process from vendor selection to contract negotiations, budgeting, timelines & more. We often hear people say, "I didn't know what I didn't know" because they don't do this everyday but we do! We know which vendors offer not only the best products & services, but the ones that are the best match for your aesthetic & budget! We particularly love working with non-traditional, interfaith & multicultural events, having extensive experience with many different belief systems & heritages.
Owner Rena Sweeney has been coordinating events in the New Orleans area for almost 20 years, bringing an unparalleled level of expertise to her clients. She started her career coordinating weddings & corporate events & then beginning in 2003 was the in-house coordinator for several local venues such as a boutique hotel in the French Quarter & the Board of Trade. She also assisted with the planning, design & opening of The Cannery & stayed on for several years as they established their venue. Having experience in various areas of event coordination gives Rena a unique perspective, as she truly has a depth of knowledge about the hospitality industry that can be matched by few in the New Orleans area. Event coordination is her passion & all she's ever done; it's a lifelong career & love of hers. Helping others is her calling in life whether that be helping you have the most amazing, stress free day of your life or helping animals in need. In her free time, Rena's other passion is special needs animal rescue & fostering including being a collaborator with the Humane Society of Louisiana.
The staff at Alchemy Events is equally as dedicated to making our client's dreams come true! We strive to be the background people, dressed in all black whispering into our ear pieces to quietly make your event flawless. Whether that means running a last minute errand or sewing a broken bustle back into your dress, we have everything covered. You won't find us front & center in your photos but we strive to be front & center in your hearts as you look back at the beautiful wedding day we helped give you!

Access your planning details from your phone, tablet or computer & share them with your family members or bridal party. This includes a design studio (similar to Pinterest), guest list manager & much more;
-Online RSVP'ing for guests;
-Complimentary wedding website for each of our clients;
-Electronic signatures, documents & online payment options including the ability to set up recurring payments with reminders for not only your coordination services but your other vendors. More & more of our clients are enjoying the ease of making payments as they go along instead of lump sums at the beginning & end;
-No set packages. We offer flexibility not only in our payment options but in our pricing so you are able to custom tailor services to fit your needs & budget instead of being locked into a set package with options that may or may not fit what you need.
