Shayna was so great to work with for my wedding. She made everyone feel comfortable and made sure they got exactly what they wanted for their hair and that they felt beautiful. She was prompt and professional and great at what she does!

I wasn't sure who to book for hair/make-up for my engagement photo session, and I was honestly nervous to have my make-up done! I decided to book with Shayna, mainly because of her flexible hours (my photos were taken on a Sunday). I was so glad that I chose to book with her! She did a wonderful job creating a natural look with my hair and make-up. I was really happy with how the look turned out in my pictures. I have since booked multiple appointments with her for upcoming events! Shayna is really sweet and accommodating. I would totally recommend her.

Shayna is AMAZING! She executed exactly what I wanted if not more! She is very sweet and super accommodating. I wish I had more fancy events to go to so I could book her more often! I felt like a queen on my wedding day thanks to all the glam she did with my makeup!

Shayna is the best! She's not only an extreme artist with hair and makeup but such a sweet person. I'm extremely picky when it comes to beauty being an esthetician myself, and she exceeded my expectations for a meaningful photo shoot I had. I was taking a huge chance trying someone new for a big photo shoot and regret nothing. I will definitely use Shayna again for any special event and spread the word to any brides wanting to look their best for one of the most important days of their life! Great work should not go unseen and if you are looking to just feel pretty for the day, have an event to doll up for or getting married, don’t hesitate to call Shayna to the rescue! She has an amazing way of still making you look like yourself but making your features pop! If I could redo my makeup from my wedding pictures I’d have Shayna do it in a heartbeat.

Shayna is wonderful! From my bridal trial to our wedding day, she worked with me to meet my desires for my wedding day makeup. She made me feel so confident and beautiful as she worked with me to create my wedding day look! She also did my mom’s makeup and it was beautiful!! We really enjoyed working with Shayna and highly recommend her!!

Please learn from the mistakes of others and NEVER trust Shayna Azevedo. Calling her a professional is a joke and her business is a total scam. If you want the short version of this review, here it is: Shayna canceled on me the day of my wedding, sent a replacement who could not honor my $300 deposit that I already paid her and is now refusing to return my deposit even though she is the one who canceled on me!
I booked Shayna for wedding day makeup and hair services. Like many other poor yelp reviews stated, I experienced huge delays in response times and had to keep following up with her just to keep things moving. That should have been my first red flag warning but I tried to be more understanding as she said she was a single mother trying to run a business. I figured the other reviewers were just overreacting. I finally got the contract and paid a $300 deposit to secure my date.
I went in for a trial five days before my wedding and paid an extra $200 for this. The makeup look I walked out with did not look professionally done at all. She didn’t even put primer on my face so the foundation immediately started settling into the fine lines of my face, making them much more pronounced. The eye makeup she did on me starting transferring within an hour of being done, leaving me with dark smudges under my eyes. This trial should have been my second red flag but at this point I was less than a week out from my wedding and already signed a contract. We chatted about what worked and what didn’t work (which is the whole point of a trial) and she said she would come a bit early on the day of to make sure we got it right.
The day of my wedding I received a text message from a random number saying that she received my number from Shayna and not to worry that I was in good hands. I was so confused because I had received zero communication from Shayna so I reached out to her asking what was going on. It wasn’t until then that she told me she had an emergency she was dealing with and that this other person was a coworker of hers that would be filling in for her. I was left to trust a total stranger with my wedding day look. It wasn’t until after all day of services had been performed that I was informed that Shayna and the replacement person she sent were two separate businesses and that my security deposit could not be honored. I had to scrape together extra money to pay the replacement and was told to ask Shayna for a refund on my deposit.
I reached out to Shayna about the return of my deposit and she ignored me for several days. I tried to be patient and understanding, thinking that she may still be dealing with this emergency situation of hers. But then I see her post stories on Instagram! I called her immediately and was sent to voicemail so then I texted her again and also contacted her on Instagram. Finally, I got a response out of her saying that the deposit is non refundable under any circumstance.
THIS HAS SCAM WRITTEN ALL OVER IT! So if you sign a contract with Shayna Azevedo you are accepting the fact that should she decide to cancel on you for any reason at all, she still gets to keep your deposit. Do not trust this woman! She gives small business women a bad name.

I was disappointed with the experience I had with Shayna. I found her online, her work looked great. My fiancé and I were unfortunately on the list of weddings who got cancelled this year due to the corona virus and global shutdown. I booked Shayna at the end of February heading into March, giving her a $300 deposit. As the virus got worse, we tried to give our vendors as much of a heads up as possible, pulling the trigger early to cancel at the end of April (our wedding wasn't until August), so we could be respectful of our vendors. I reached out to Shayna to cancel just 2 months after I booked her and she refused to give me my $300 deposit back, even though all I did was sign a contract and gave her 4 months notice! It forced us to keep her on and try and plan a small family backyard wedding having to pick a day that worked with her schedule, not necessarily a date we would have picked at which point a family member of mine got covid and we had to cancel that. Shayna was slow to respond during that time and would still not give me my deposit back.

It's disappointing because I would have worked with her later on when we could reschedule and knew it was safe, instead of feeling like I needed to rebook her because I couldn't get my money back just two months after signing a contract. It's a true testament during these times of the vendors who are truly understanding and good people and those who become non-responsive and take your money on services they did not fulfill.
