I give Jemie 10 stars across the board!!! I have to admit that when I first met Jemie I was not at all looking for a wedding planner but the more I interacted with her, the more it became evident that I needed someone like her on board. What makes Jemie the best in the trade is that she executes your plan both efficiently and effortlessly for a great price. She goes above and beyond what is expected to help you, the bride and groom, get the things you want and need for your wedding day. When my husband and I hired JSK Events (we got the "Citrine" level of service) we hadn't envisioned anything but an outdoor wedding. From the beginning (before we had even officially hired JSK Events) Jemie was sending ample amounts of resources (i.e. photos of weddings on the web for inspiration, sample vows, info on how to make my best friend the officiant of our ceremony, info for some of the best and affordable hair stylists, makeup artists, florists, dressmakers, fabric shops, caterers, DJ's, musicians with different musical styles, photographers, and videographers in Southern California; she even sent me links to websites concerning the names and types of different fabrics that exist!). These invaluable resources kept coming our way 6 months before the wedding and they were never "too much". In fact, the resources that she provided us were money in the bank as it saved me the time from looking up these things on my own and helped direct me as I was planning MY perfect wedding. More importantly she never took creative control and never did she impose her opinion or will on us; my husband and I can testify to this fact as neither of us had a clue of what we wanted in the beginning and we managed to have probably the BEST & MOST BEAUTIFUL wedding on planet Earth in the year 2010 all thanks to Jemie (seriously, this is no exaggeration). But if you so happen to be a bride/groom-to-be who doesn't want to do any planning, Jemie is 200% capable of doing that as well because she just simply has the answers to the questions before you even ask them. For example, there were several items we wanted to get for our wedding but hadn't really thought about how we were going to obtain them as most of these items turned out to be rare finds. Just when I was going to sit down with Jemie to discuss these items, she started the meeting off by suggesting that we borrow things when possible. Or when something goes wrong (like for example, your videographer tells you he hasn't the time to make your baby montage video 2 weeks before your wedding) Jemie is on the other end of the line with names of people who are already on the job. Sounds simple but let's just say that all her solutions saved us a lot of frustration and not to mention money. And there are plenty more examples of instances when Jemie found the solutions to problems before we realized that they were even problems...

Lastly what I would like to share with people reading this site is that we didn't get any kickbacks for writing this review. What we write is true and veritable. Jemie is all of the above: professional, responsive, affordable, & flexible with 10 stars attached. The citrine service, which we purchased, allots for only 2 months of preplanning, but Jemie was there helping us from the very beginning, responding to every email and returning every phone call at GODSPEED (and fyi, we hired her 6 months before tying the knot)!!! Jemie was there every step of the way. She was professional, reliable and essentially the brain at our wedding. To call her a wedding "planner" (at least in our particular case) would be a little misleading as she never took creative control of our event. However what she did was marvelously execute a plan that my husband and I came up with. The day of our wedding we didn't have to lift a finger or think about doing anything...Jemie even ran back to my hotel room 1 minute before I was supposed to walk down the aisle to get the beloved vintage crocheted gloves I accidently left before running down to the wedding venue. JSK Events is just simply what you were looking for and then some!

I have one word to describe Jemie and her wedding planning skills --- AMAZING!! The day of our wedding, the only thing my Husband and I had to worry about was saying “I Do,” Jemie was the Wizard behind the curtain making sure everything came together.

I have to admit, at first, I was nervous to work with a wedding planner for fear of losing control of my own vision for my wedding, but Jemie put all those fears to rest. She truly listened to what I wanted my wedding to be and then helped enhance that vision to beyond my highest expectations.

Jemie was able to address details I never would have thought of. She saved me from a mean flower vendor who wasn’t producing what I wanted and introduced to me a fabulous florist who ended up creating centerpieces better than I had dreamed. She was able to step in and take control of rehearsal when my Church coordinator went crazy on us at the ceremony rehearsal and she even kept her cool, when I accidently smashed her head in the limousine door ---- now if that isn’t a Phenomenal wedding planner then I don’t know what is !!!!

Thank you Jemie for making our special day spectacular! We never had to worry about what time it was, who was supposed to be where or if the favors made it to the tables – you were there to take care of it all – and with a smile on your face all the while. Family and friends continue to tell me, how much fun they had and how amazed they are that everything ran so seamlessly.

Jemie and her staff will make your wedding day worry-free and wonderful...guaranteed. Given my schedule, lack of wedding expertise, and time constraints, I knew that I needed someone to help plan my perfect wedding. I was clueless when it came to planning my wedding and Jemie was there every step of the way. I interviewed other wedding planners but decided to go with Jemie because of her extensive experience working with mixed cultural/inter-racial weddings and she has great interpersonal skills. These skills are very necessary given that I had demanding relatives from both my husband and my sides of the family and I needed someone to help plan a wedding that was true to both of our roots without overpowering one aspect over another. Jemie did exactly what she promised and more. My schedule is very difficult to work with and Jemie worked around it and she even went the extra mile to call and meet up with my vendors on my behalf. Her dedication to her clients is steadfast and she delivers everything that is promised. My wedding day was beautiful and perfect and I am so thankful to have had her help!

Jemie Sae Koo is a Wedding Planner/Coordinator I would highly recommend. She was instrumental in the orchestration of our Filipino and Persian wedding this past year. The wedding party alone was extremely large (73 total in bridal party), including 11 bridesmaids, 11 groomsmen, 3 flower girls, 2 ring bearers, 32 principal sponsors (basically Godparents), 8 secondary sponsors (carry out Filipino ceremonial customs), 2 grandmothers, and 4 parents. Jemie is reliable, artistic, ethical, honest, passionate, well-rounded, and strong in problem-solving - all significant attributes if you are looking for an excellent Wedding Planner.

When we learned that her background was in politics and event planning, we felt confident that she knew how to deal with and properly accommodate to all types of people from all walks of life, especially when over half of my guests were physicians. She proved herself through and through by being very responsive to our every email, phone call, and requests, to the 28 page itinerary that she composed with every detail ever decided on, and with the day-of schedule down to the minute. She made sure that she communicated with all the vendors and that they were held accountable to what they promised to deliver for us. When it came to the day of our wedding, it was very apparent that she had built a great rapport with each vendor and they all worked hand-in-hand with her as a team. The respect that she garnered from everyone that she interacted with was truly a unique quality she possesses.

Throughout the planning stages, Jemie always understood my vision of (and my husband's, and my mother's, and my Graphic Designer brother's) a dream wedding and helped make it come true. Being in medical school, she understood the demands and limited time I was facing while planning the wedding, so she made it as effortless by consistently taking initiative and being proactive before I even had to ask. Many people also warned me that I would be a wreck in all the commotion of the events. However, on the wedding day, Jemie "protected" and shielded my husband and me from the behind-the-scenes chaos from those who lost sight of what the day meant for us. She wanted our memories of the wedding to be only happy ones. We felt stress-free the entire weekend of celebration. On top of everything else, she had a lot of insight into the industry and helped us save money in so many ways. Jemie negotiated with every vendor to help us obtain savings while maintaining the best standard of work. She earned her entire fee back even within the first vendor she negotiated with. Hands down, the best decision my husband and I could have ever made.

Her core goals make her a wonderful wedding planner: she wants the bride and groom to simply enjoy their love towards each other during their wedding, genuinely celebrate it in the way they had always envisioned, and then each day thereafter, look back at their wedding not only as a testament to their love, but also as a reminder, a spark that will continue to light their love each time they think of that special day. Jemie and her qualities are the epitome of what every planner out there should be. We feel so fortunate to have found her and have recommended her to all of our friends and colleagues.

As the maid of honor at my best friend's wedding I was not looking forward to having to deal with the wedding planner since they tend to be abrasive and often pushy. I have to say that I have never come across a wedding planner that didn't stress me out more than help. That is until I met Mrs. Jamie Sae Koo and her company.

On the day of the wedding she was on top of everything and everyone without being pushy or aggressive. She never let the bride or the wedding party worry about a thing. She fixed things before we even thought there might be a problem. I was so excited to see her coordination with the other vendors and the way she juggled between the church, wedding reception (which were not in the same place), photos and hotel. We never felt rushed to go from one place to the other and yet she kept us on time every step of the way.

Having attended many weddings in the past I am not a fan of the hectic last minute stresses and the chaotic nature of the day of the weeding. I can honestly and with out reservation say that I have never enjoyed a wedding more. I truly feel that it was Jamie's attentiveness to detail and her overall pleasant attitude that made the entire day so enjoyable. Anyone hiring this amazing super woman and her company will be lucky, pleased, happy and delighted with her high quality of work.

Simply put, if you want it done right, you need Jemie. I was the maid of honor for my friend's wedding and the scenario was something like, 600 invitees, a couple of weeks before the wedding, and the bride had nothing done~not even invitations. Who pulled this miracle off? Jemie. The wedding was stunningly beautiful and ran without a hitch. Truly, a wedding that size is more akin to a circus so that's quite a feat. She even played mediator between the bride and future mother in law. If you choose Jemie, have no doubt that you will be happy. Her experience, professionalism, contacts, and great staff will make wedding planning as painless as possible and give you the confidence that everything will be taken care of so you can enjoy your day.

Jemie was so helpful, I do not know if I could have done it without her. She was very courteous and professional to all. Her response time was fabulous! She was very on top of all whole event, and insured that all went as smooth as possible. Her response and attention to detail and the wedding party was fabulous. I can not say thank you enough.

Jemie is truly a pro when it comes to wedding planner and hiring her was seriously the best decision I could ever make during my wedding planning process. She is truly a person that goes above and beyond for her brides. You will not be disappointed with having her by your side. For the amount I paid for her services, she essentially paid for her own position 10 times over and saved me over $30,000 for my wedding. She has high integrity when it came the each vendor. She does not accept kickbacks or commissions and passed on every single dollar in savings she was able to negotiate on my behalf. I have heard horror stories from other brides whose wedding planner never told them that they were making commissions and accepting kickbacks from the vendors they referred. The worst part was the bride found out, not from the planner, but from another vendor that accidently sent her the original quote rather than the marked up quote by the planner.

I appreciated her consistent follow through and responding to my calls and emails less than 24 hours. I had a really hard time sticking with decisions I had made and she reassured me by providing me perspective. I also appreciated her helping me prioritize what I felt was important for the wedding and helping me stick to the budget. Jemie was meticulous in every single aspect, she took her own initiative and had an answer even before I asked the question. She even created a back up rain plan in case mother nature wasn’t cooperating. She truly served my best interest.

The weeks leading up to the wedding, she provided me with a master itinerary with every single detailed we had planned. She even sent out a separate one page bridal party itinerary to ensure everyone knew what time and where they were suppose to be at for the rehearsal and wedding.

The day of the wedding was so relaxing and I was able to sit back and enjoy the day. She was managing all my vendors. Right before I walked down the aisle, she made sure to check to see if I looked my best and made me feel at ease. For the reception, she made everything look completely effortless – it almost seemed as though it all magically appeared. I had a lot of guests who were doctors and attorneys present, so it was imperative for me to have someone who knew how to cater to them. She was spot on and everyone loved her, even down to some very difficult people attending. My mother-in-law who is hard to win over and is the type of person who needs to be in control of everything gave her a huge hug at the end of the night, thanking her for such a wonderful evening. This is someone that does not show affection!

Everything that was on the itinerary was executed and at the end of the night, she packed up all the items for the reception and transported it back to my honeymoon suite. We left the room in disarray and she even worked with room service to tidy the room up so that we could just walk into a clean room and enjoy ourselves. She even surprised us by decorating our suite with flower petals and roses on the bed (and bathtub). It was just so nice to have it all come together and not have to think about anything else but each other.

I never thought as a bride it would be so much work to put a wedding together. Without Jemie, I would have never known to ask questions that are supposed to be asked. I am so deeply grateful that out of anyone during my wedding planning process, Jemie truly had my best interest at heart. She is one of the hardest working person I have ever met (I know this because I would get emails throughout the night and into the early mornings – and be up the next day following up or meeting with me), she always made me feel that my wedding was the only wedding she was planning, even though I knew she had a lot of other clients to manage. Jemie is genuinely a good and kind person inside and out – I knew this from the second I met her. She went above and beyond the call of duty and poured countless of hours into planning my wedding.

Thank you so much, Jemie for providing me such a wonderful experience during my wedding planning process. I have amazing memories from my wedding day that I can cherish for the rest of my life thanks to you.
