A women-owned, women-led small business, A Connection is a wedding & event planning company with almost half a decade of experience in the wedding planning industry. A Connection offers tailored packages to couples looking for wedding planners & day-of coordinators for their big day. While we are based out of central NJ, we offer services worldwide and take pride in specializing in South Asian wedding events. In the past 5 years, A Connection has planned & hosted over 30 events in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania & Chicago. For 2024, we have hosted 8 events already and have booked 10 more to start with.

Founded by owner & CEO, Abha Desai, in November of 2019, A Connection was established with the hopes of forging connections with and between clients, vendors and colleagues in the industry as well as members of her community. For years, Abha dreamt of sharing her creative approach to event design with the world and after finding success in the entreprenurial world, she decided to take the leap and start the business. She believes that making connections is one of the most important parts of her role as a wedding planner. From connecting couples with like-minded vendors to curating experiences that bring people together, connection is a constant in everything she does. Her business name, A Connection, celebrates this belief, as she is one individual responsible for helping so many people connect and collaborate!

Running the business alongside Abha is her partner, Rohini Brahmbhatt, who joined the industry officially in early 2024 after earning experience in event management and planning for over 10 years. Raised with the motto "In the Joy of Others Lies Our Own," Rohini enjoys exemplifying acts of service through wedding planning, which she believes helps to forge real connections with couples, their families & friends. What started off as an application of her talent for a side hustle has very quickly turned into a life-changing opportunity and passion!

Combining Abha's vendor connections, industy experience and networking capability with Rohini's organization, social management skills and marketing capability, these 2 ladies make an unparalleled wedding planning duo!
