The FH and I met online. I had just gotten out of a relationship and had no interest in starting a new one. He lived in D.C. and I lived in NJ at the time. He was very respectful and cool to talk to on the phone. We talked for 8 months before I came to the D.C. area to meet him in person. I was a bit skeptical but we had a good time that week and I was in love with him by the time I left to go back home. Eventually I moved to Maryland. I had family here and I always liked it here plus, it placed me closer to him ;-). We had our ups and downs...his Grandmother and Cousin (best friend who would have been the best man) both died. We got closer but it was hard on him and changed the relationship a bit. We got through it thank God. February 9, 2008 he asked me to be his wife in the jewelry store because I was too impatient to wait for my ring! Of course I accepted and here we are. He doesn't take too much interest in the wedding planning (typical man) but I don't mind because this way I get exactly what I want! I look forward to our wedding day, our Sandals honeymoon and most importantly our marriage together.
