The Grape Leaf Inn is a luxury B&B in Healdsburg, Northern California that enjoys a quiet location close to shops, dining, and wineries. The amenities include private fireplaces, spa tubs, and complimentary wine tasting.

The guestrooms are individually named after wines, and you can experience life in California wine country in 3 romantic cottages overlooking the valley vineyards. A truly splendid place to stay! 539 Johnson Street, Healdsburg, CA 707-433-8140

Sonoma Coast Villa - for a relaxing taste of Italy on the Sonoma Coast, come and unwind in the Sonoma Coast Villa Country Inn & Spa. This Bodega Bay bed and breakfast has been a favorite Northern California honeymoon inn for many couples. There's an indoor whirlpool spa, private patios, full spa menu, and even a nine hole putting green! 16702 Coast Highway One, Bodega, CA (888) 404-2255

The Weller House - a wonderful and romantic bed and breakfast on the California coast. Enjoy a soak in the whirlpool high up in the restored historic water (great for whale watching too). Their Northern California weekend getaway packages are worth mentioning: activities like horseback riding, tours of Russian River wineries, and tickets for the Skunk Train. Or the honeymoon package complete with long-stemmed roses and dinner for two at a romantic restaurant. 524 Stewart Street, Fort Bragg, CA (877) 893-5537

Traci- those places are nice, but its better to stay ON the beach up there. The best thing we did in the region was to stay in a rental home on the golf course in Bodega. It was SUPER cheap and this HUUUUGE luxury home with everything you could want or need. Even had a hot tub onthe deck overlooking the ocean. Its a really short drive to the wineries in Napa. I think they are still running a stay 2 nights, get the 3rd free deal. This is their site: http://www.sonomacoast.com/

If you do that, you HAVE to eat in Occidental. It is a tiny one street town known solely for its food. And it is amazing! Of course, the oysters and clams are awesome. Healdsburg and Sonoma are pretty drives too. I would recommend just taking a drive and stopping at any wineries that look good. There are too many to choose just one. Stop at places that have free tasting rooms and live it up! There is also a Wine train (fancy and $$$), or you can book tasting tours with limo companies (less $).

Yea, unfortunately, just googling for the Sonoma area is well...risky. There is just TOO MUCH stuff out there, and it gets pricey. They are pretty dang touristy, so locals can really help you out as far as where to go/ stay. I was named after the region (Analy is a part of Sebastopol).
.
FYI San Fran is totally doable drive from that area, and I definately recommend it! Love my city! :)

Newp. LOL Sonoma coast villa is great, I have stayed there, but its pricey. I would NOT stay in Sebastopol. Its, how shall I say....not romantic. hehe Bodega Bay and Jenner are the best places to stay.
