Help with honeymoon location!

Adrianna, on May 26, 2026 at 1:42 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 4
Hey, beautiful brides or soon be brides!! I’m getting married in October of this year and I have no idea where to go for a honeymoon! Thoughts about a cruise but my fiancé gets sea sick very easily 😔. I thought about Florida but it could possibly be chilly in October and it’s hurricane season! Drop some ideas please!

I guess it depends what kind of honeymoon you're wanting! Do you want to relax? Or go on adventures? Little of both?

We're leaving the U.S and going to Scotland! Ideally around September-October for the beautiful autumn colors. We want to take in the scenery and visit castles and old architecture. So we plan to do SOME adventuring, but we mostly just want to be somewhere peaceful and beautiful.

Hi Adrianna, smart move avoiding the cruises if your fiance gets seasick easily. They say big cruise ships are so much better. I've known plenty of people who still got sick.

Florida is a great destination. Depending on where you go, October should not be cold. Orlando is usually mid 80s during the day and upper 60s at night. In Miami it never gets cold. October is a perfect time of year. Marco Island is also a beautiful place if you are more laid back. The beaches are stunning. Hope this helps Smiley smile

Congratulations!! 💍 For October, I’d look at places like Hawaii, Mexico (Cancún/Riviera Maya), Aruba, Jamaica, or the Dominican Republic. They’re great for a warm, relaxing honeymoon. If your fiancé gets seasick, I’d skip the cruise and choose an all-inclusive resort instead.

Also, consider travel insurance since October is still hurricane season in some areas. Hope you have an amazing honeymoon! ❤️

If cruises are out, consider an all-inclusive resort instead. Places like Cancun, Riviera Maya, or Punta Cana are great for a relaxing honeymoon without worrying about seasickness. If you'd rather stay in the U.S., Savannah or Charleston are beautiful in October, and the weather is usually perfect for walking around and enjoying good food.
