Lisa, on April 19, 2014 at 12:47 AM Posted in Planning 0 27

Hi all..

So like the subject says, I need to find a sparkling wine or champagne for my wedding toast! What are some good, cheap wines I can find? Thanks! Smiley smile

Barefoot makes a few varieties of bubbly and it's just about the cheapest you can go without causing your guests to suffer the next day. The moscato is a sweeter one to go with but a lot of people love it.

Dude, if your guests won't see the container, be like my mom. That redneck buys box wine lmao. According to her "for $12, I get 1 glass almost every day!"....which equals to about 50 cents a glass and 20 glasses a box lol.

I'm looking for the same. A friend recommended Martini & Rosi Asti because I'm not a (dry) champagne fan. We may go today to the liquor store to see if they have it and ask about other options.

Most of the banquet halls here use Verdi. It's cheap and marginally drinkable. Next up; frexinet or Segura Vindas.

I like the Luna and the Barefoot sparkling wine. If you know your guests like sweet a sparkling moscato is an option. I can't remember the brands I've had though.

    Thanks everyone!

Several ppl have said to go with the rosecco or whatever it is. I will have to look into that. I'm going to the liquor store today so I'm going to talk to someone there..I'm going to buy a bottle to sample..

    Thanks everyone!

Well I got these three. The choice on the far left is what the lady picked out at the store. She said it was sweet. She said the Prosecco I got was the most popular variety for reception toasts. I'm currently chilling the wines in the fridge and I'll break open the Prosecco tonite .

So I opened up the Prosecco and I'm so glad I did. It's really good!! I can see why it's so popular! So I think I found our toasting wine!

I drink prosecco often - it's my favorite type of wine. Plus it never gives me headaches, like champagne does.
