How similar are your bridesmaids dresses to your dress?

My dresses aren't that familiar I have a strapless dress with a lot of beading and a overlay that splits down the middle of the dress... Its just easier if I show my dress...

It might be a cute idea if you have "similar" styles, so it looks like its a coherent look. As long as they aren't wearing a colored version of your wedding dress, having similar styles look great!

No one is going to mistake your BMs for you They're not *that* similar - and there's nothing wrong with the dresses 'echoing' the general style of your dress... even if you choose a belt, it will relate the two dresses, but won't be the same - theirs will be plain, yours will likely have decorative aspects. I think they look really nice together!

I don't think any bridesmaids dress will look remotely close to a wedding dress. The style might be similar but you can't compare the two. You will stand out no matter what.

Mine look nothing alike except for the fact that they are long haha. I really don't think there is any way your bridesmaids dresses will distract or take away from your dress. You will be in white and you will be glowing!

If thats what you are drawn towards, go with those!

I don't think that it will take away from your beauty/attention at all! No one will think that they are the bride and you are not .

Mine personally, are very different. I didn't want them to have the same neckline as mine, and I wanted them to be short. but both dresses have lace

My wedding dress was tea-length ivory lace. Theirs were cocktail length cameo/pink lace. The lace and shorterness was it.

I think you made great choices. You've chosen dresses that are sleek and sophisticated. They compliment each other and follow a theme, but there is no doubt which dress is more impressive. You're fine on this.

I think you're fine. Yes, they are similar, but it makes for a very cohesive, sophisticated look.

Our dresses are both strapless and full length, but the similarities end there.

My dress is long floor length chiffon, one shoulder. My bridesmaids and maid of honor's are short sweetheart neckline satin dresses. Only one that's similar to mine is my Matron of honor. her's is a one shoulder satin short dress.

My BM dresses are absolutely nothing like mine

I don't think there's anything wrong with having the BM dresses echo yours. If it's what you like, go for it.

My BM dresses don't "match" my dress, but they do have some similar features so I think they kind of coordinate. My dress is a strapless mermaid with ruching and a sweetheart neckline. Their dresses are strapless, short, and ruched with a sweetheart neckline.

I think if you like the look of coherence that is perfect! It definitely does not take away at all from you

My dress and bms dresses are so different I have questioned that. Theirs are one shoulder tulle and mine is lace capped sleeves. I hope mine works!

Not similar at all. The firs pic is my dress, 2nd pic is my BM dress, and 3rd pic is the BM dress I wanted but everyone said it was too similar

My dress is lace and tulle and the bridesmaids are chiffon...I was thinking about lace dresses for them as well, but too many different body types for it too look good.

I did see this photo from the wedding a friend went to a couple years ago where the bride DID put the girls in something similar to her dress and thought it looked very nice
