Honeymoon

Ok, we are getting married in February and we've decided that instead of taking our week long honeymoon right after the wedding we're just going to go away for a few days. Does anyone have any good ideas about what we should do?

What do you and FH like to do? Interests? How far are you willing to travel for the few days?

Have you looked at going to the Hocking Hills? It would only be a couple hours from you, and there are awesome cabins there with hottubs. A perfect place for a mini-honeymoon.

I'm not sure how far he'd like to go. All he's told me is that he'd like to get out of town for a few days. I was thinking about Hocking Hills actually.

where do you live? we were wanting to go to like mexico or europe. but with neither of our families having a lot of money, and the summer being peak seasons for both places we decided on colorado! i use to go sno skiing every feb. with my family when i was little, and i thought that would be a great place to go.! see the mountains, the snow, and all the sites! (plus i want us to move there someday.so its my way of persuading him..lol) but i thought since i loved it, i would show him. Plus its peaceful. we can stay in hotels diff nights and visit diff towns! (ROAD TRIP!) im excited cuz he agreed it would be fun :) hope whatever you choose you love!!

Wherever you're going to go, you should probably book soon. I'm sure Valentine's weekend books up fast. Hocking Hills is really great, and I'm not just saying that because I live nearby. I can highly recommend Old Man's Cave Chalets. I stayed there for a weekend once and loved it.

Whitni, we live in Ohio and we're not wanting to go out of state. When we go on our full honeymoon we're going to go to Disney World so right now we just want to do something for a few days to get away from everyone. Not that we don't love our family, it's just we want some us time. 3.6.10bride, Thanks for the suggestion. I'll tell my FH when he gets home

I know you said you don't want to go out of state but there are the cabins near Gatlinburg, Tennessee that I think look so romantic for a winter getaway. I've been trying to find time to go here for years ... http://www.thepreserveresort.com/

I am not from your area, sorry, we felt the same way you guys do. We went 4 wheeling for the day, something we both love to do and we are going to plan a longer trip in the future when we have the money and are at an off season time, when we go away we want to enjoy ourselves and not the crouwds. congrats and good luck!!!!

We may postpone our honeymoon until next year because I am in school and FH coaching during the summer. We both like the beach, so we are thinking of spending a few days at LBI in NJ. Congratulations and I'm sure that you will enjoy whatever you choose - it will be with you husband!
