giant florist...just thought id share.

brandi, on January 23, 2012 at 9:04 AM Posted in Planning 1 13

So me and my mother went into giant this past weekend to talk to someone about flowers for my wedding since there flowers always look so nice. The lady figured out a quote for us for my bouquet (white roses, lilies, and hydrangeas), MOH and 2 BMS bouquets (white roses and hydrangeas), 5 bouts (lily and spray rose for FH and ring bearer, and rose for BM and 2 GM), 2 more rose bouts for dads, and 3 mothers rose wrist corsages. All of that only came to $280!! Wich I would say is very cheap! And there flowers are always very nice! Just thought id share. Florist at giant may be something you want to look into! Oh and here is a pic of what my bouquet should look like except it will be a brighter white white and have a pretty white ribbon around the stems.

I am getting my flowers from a supermarket as well! My bouquet is priced at $30 and the bridesmaids bouquets are $18 each! Its really a steal and we are having roses! I recommend into looking into the supermarkets, the prices are cheap and you still get real live flowers! We have Giant, Redner's, Weis, and a few other supermarkets in my area. We are going to a local one for our flowers.

I'm planning on getting my flowers from Giant as well. I'm not doing floral centerpieces so the package I'm getting is just for the bridal party. Flowers are not on the top of my "Super-Important Things" list so I couldn't justify spending hundreds of dollars at a florist. I figured, if people can get really good-tasting wedding cakes from grocery stores, why not flowers?

I was thinking of doing that. Their website recommended ordering the flowers a month in advance. My wedding is a couple of weeks before yours so I guess it's cool if I go ahead and make an appointment.

If you do not have a Giant, check out Sam's Club, they have some really neat deals and I considered going that route before I called my supermarket.
